It’s not a criminal trial. Finding him guilty isn’t going to result in kind of jail time. It’s a civil suit. The most damage that’s happening is his reputation/character at his pockets.

Two grand juries decided not to indict him. He's not facing any criminal charges, it's all civil lawsuits stemming from allegations.

I'm pretty sure a multibillion dollar franchise wouldn't overlook a contract loophole. Any necessary outs are in there. But the fact his base salary is only 1 mil for year one shows how confident they are that he won't be suspended for more than a year, if at all.
