I was curious to see if Beal could flourish on a meaningful team. Still up in the air.

Am I the only one looking at this Bradley Beal "loyalty" as "oh, y'all plan to move Russ? Hey listen, I'm actually open to staying now"?
Maybe Brad just didn't want to play with RW? They never seemed to "click" to me anyway.
but russ is better than what simmons will ever beIf y'all think Morey dumping Ben after seeing what LAL gave up for Russ, good luck.
Just on principle, he'll hold onto Simmons.

The Lakers didn't give up a lot at all.
Nah he gone
3 of their top 7 players plus a pick sounds solid to me.
I used to think the same way. Once I realized that they are being loyal to a franchise that is not loyal to them at all, I fully support player control. Beal is being loyal to the Wizards, but if his production dips, they wouldn't be loyal to him at all. He's out.its great when guys who are elite like top 10-15 in the league stays with one team their whole career instead of leaving...props to kobe, dirk and duncan for staying with the same team forever...
One guy was unplayable in the playoffs, one guy could never star in his role/fit in and the pick was never really going to play as the team is in win now mode. Losing KCP as a defender and shooter hurts, but what Russ brings to the table >>>> outweighs that. The roster def needs to be filled out with a couple shooters and another big (maybe Dwert reunion) but being able to retain THT (who's still younger than a lot of the draft picks from tonight and Caruso while still having the MLE and sure fire vet ring chasers ala Brooklyn, they'll be fine.
This honestly was a no brainer. Didn't understand the people swooning over Buddy Hield who literally only is good at one thing and would have cost almost as much in a trade as Russ cause Sac were being idiots.
Fair points...
But keep in mind, similar things were said the last time LAL made a huge trade like this.
Forget what the players are doing right now, bc not many people shed tears when Lonzo, BI, and Josh Hart were sent packing on the first thing smoking out of Los Angeles. Same with Julius and Jordan Clarkson.
You think these GMs want to look like idiots? Politics 101 is always at play and many of these "terrible" players {in NT's dictionary} will get numerous chances to show out.
KCP, Trez, and Kuz are ALL good players who have potential to come back and make LAL look foolish down the road. And best believe they are all gonna get chances to prove themselves.
He needs more helpThe number of all stars, that LeBron has played with is outstanding .
