Australia was fed up, that entire roster went off...it's hard to believe that this was their first medal even during the Andrew Bogut Era but it shows you how hard it's been for all the other countries in the last 20 years. It ain't guaranteed and Slovenia finally got humbled in their first Olympic appearance.

Also shows why Slovenia would have lost by 30 to the USA...that defense is horrible France and Australia's guards torched them so imagine what KD and them would have done

There are more great international basketball players in the world than there has been before, but they’re spread out across a lot of different countries. It’s doubtful any single country will ever catch up to the US with respect to sheer basketball talent.

It’s honestly pretty remarkable that countries as small as Slovenia and Lithuania produce as much basketball talent as they do.

The world is catching up but the US had the best scorer in the world who also happens to be perfect for FIBA. That's why I never worried about them not getting gold because as long as they had KD, they could bring their B-Team and it would be enough, even with Pop's coaching too.

It took KD scoring close to 30 just to beat Spain, Australia, and France...he carried them, he deserves to talk. Not sure about Draymond though

Despite the fact that not many of the guys on the team played that well this Olympics, I’d like to think that if KD wasn’t there, someone else would have stepped up enough for us to medal.
