Maaannn the first time I went out there ages ago it was in December of that year. It rained and the sky was grey whole damn week. Went back in the summer and it was :pimp: Damn near perfect weather 8)

Plus Seattle just happens to be one of the cities that I’ve historically flourished with yambs so I’ll always hold it in high regard :lol

For everyone that’s bought a crib or thinking about were you sure that’s where you wanted to/want to live long term? I’m obviously aware buying the best move if you can afford it because of all the associated financial benefits of being a homeowner but how certain were you that you wanted the stay in that area long-term when you made the purchase? That’s my biggest hang up right now.
I bought mine on my 27th birthday in Elgin, Oklahoma because I am from here and at rhe time worked at Fort Sill Army base in Lawton, Ok where I was born and raised. Also, it's 15 minutes NE of Fort Sill so no further than living in Lawton but a headstart to OKC (about an hr) which I had season tickets to the Thunder then plus the non Military people just turning Lawton into a cess pool and these periphery relatively rural cities were developing fast with Military who wanted to live just outside the "big city" for safety, better schools, and more for your buck in the house buy. The what if I move and have to sell it fear is real, especially in a place like here where prices ars amongst the lowest in the country so you dont get that massive appreciation, but they said 5 yrs. If you can't commit 5 yrs was the advice when I bought. As you know, I'm out in OKC now and got renters in there for 1300 (could be getting 1750 or so righr now) but it makes me like 60 bucks profit on my mortgage + the management fee of 10%

The being a landlord thing isnt ideal but its not an issue either. A mgmt company will do everything for you for 10% and only call you if they need money for repairs or something. My house is 10 yrs old so I've only had to do very minor like replace the water heater and when there's a bad bad storm drop a few hunnid to fix the gutters and fence or something.

I gotta get my money up like all yall non flyover state NTers tho. My realtor calls me and swears I could sell +40k over appraisal due to low inventory because of pandemic and again Fort Sill always expanding even as the Army draws down but I want more.
