Adding a legit 3rd piece on the wing to Dame and CJ has always been the move, IMO, but that **** is hard, especially when Anfernee Simons hasn’t really popped yet, Zach Collins was hurt, and the kid from UNC hasn’t really done anything.

They’ve been behind the 8 ball since all them bad signings years ago

Trent was a huge come up for them and Powell on his own is a nice rotation player but what was the rationale behind that trade again. why couldn’t they go after a bigger wing lol

Big wing costs a premium though (if teams even want to give them up in the first place), and their young guys haven’t shown enough to get them one. Much easier to get smaller guards.

None of them are needle movers. Especially when paired with Dame/CJ. Just decent role guys.

is he a conservative ?
asking for a friend

If you are talking Canadian politics, he's definitely a Liberal. Never takes sides, a bit two faced and do not hold themselves accountable when it matters.

Blazers were the #1 offense in the league after the Powell-Trent trade.
Tricky path forward for Portland.

They had a top 10 defense with Aminu & Harkless but the Pelicans just trapped Dame & let CJ go 1on1 & got the sweep.

They eventually shifted philosophies to what they have now, shooters & scorers all around Dame so they score 120 every night but give up 123.

You obviously want two-way wings but so does everyone else  I don’t know who’s realistic with what they have to offer.

Right. Also funny that folks have always said you can’t win it with that small/defensively challenged back court (Portland) and now they basically have a 3 guard lineup lol
