Jake was as average as they come for four years at Udub. Someone really talked themselves into believing in him :lol :{

Alot of nonsense is being put out there by talking heads

This is what I figured. People with links to the media tell their guy to "put something out there" to poison the well so the draft boards start to become erratic. Gamesmanship.

Dan f’d himself into this mess

he went and looked at the film seemingly after all the heat he got for repeating typical lazy BS

but this ain’t new to talking heads, them repeating the same BS cause it sounds informed

Only concern I’d have with hurts is how he feels the pass rush

cause dude is confident in his athleticism, arm and accuracy.. so he’ll stick a play out thinking he can make something happen or wait for something to happen

not saying he’s like wentz.. but wentz had this problem, but he wasn’t great at feeling the rush

and wentz figured dudes couldn’t take him down and at times he was right .. so instead of just taking what the defense took him, he’d wait out the play hoping something would develop AND then react when a defender was right up on him

and doug didn’t help, because Doug could have thrown in my designed rollouts and/or put in my structured throws

but I say all that to really say, even if you have a dude who isn’t get at ’feeling’ the rush, you can still do a hell of a lot

Orlovsky better watch his step because he's going to be out of a job soon. I dont know if he's trying to be outlandish because that seems to work with some guys (Skip, that dips hit Will Cain). He hasn't made much money at all in his short career to just get reckless.

Cant stand him.

Russ does it as well and same the scheme doesn't help but sometimes you gotta know when you lost that battle and just bail (besides waiting for the 4th quarter when you're down to do it)

yea russ is great at it and I hope hurts is studying him, patty and Rodgers

you take advantage of the speed rushers and then move to the open spaces and just take the free yards when it’s there.. you give time for play to develop from safe-ish point and just take the easy when it’s there

what made Dan good was him breaking down plays and not necessarily taking the hot take.. for example just blaming the QB

put pointing out things that is going wrong on a play that could have lead to a larger mistake

it‘s easy to just point a finger.. but a lot of people got jobs to do on a single play

zero clue why he didn’t go an watch the film and see how much he was being told actually makes sense

As someone that watched a ton of Fields, he goes through his progressions.
The problem is that Ohio State ran a bunch of plays that took forever to develop.
His progressions aren't any worse than Trevor or Zach.
It's a lazy regurgitated take and easy to pin on Fields as a black/Ohio State QB.
Him in that 9ers offense is going to cause damage.

as was pointed out by a couple people, the 2 I’d be most concerned about are mac Jones and Lawrence if anything

Lawrence got the physical tools, but ain’t like that offense was that complex and we saw the few teams he faced legit constants pressure

mac Jones had a insane level of talent around him and that offense was a damn killer

I just want bro to succeed and go to the best situation.
I worry for him if he goes to the JETES.

I read a tweet earlier that someone was trying to say that Fields only made SEVEN throws beyond his first read. What a crock of horse****

Edit: here it is

"It's not about Fields falling or anything about his skill set. He is probably the most physically gifted quarterback in this class. The only issue when I talk to teams is that he over 200 passes last year, 200 plus were off his first read and only seven were him sitting in the pocket going from progression one to progression two. So that's kind of an issue and they also think and I see the same thing on tape, is that he loves to see his receiver come open and he doesn't anticipate enough throws. So that's where he needs to improve."

I dont get the smear campaign against Fields. Tbh I think the Jets would be silly not to take him if they are 100 percent moving on from Darnold. Wilson has an arm and looked nice on his pro day but facing decent teams, he simply wasnt that good.

But whatever Jets will **** up whatever they end up doing.

There's an article on the Athletic that breaks down Fields pretty well (and all themain Qs, but I only read about Fields so far). The first read stuff is nonsense. He has a great feel for the pocket as well. After watching a lot of highlights and clips, I comp him to Russell. I saw a lot of similarities, including touch with the deep ball. He's obviously taller, but both are stout.

There’s 3 QBs in the draft, I’ll die on this Trevor-Fields-Wilson hill. Good luck to all those whose teams pick the others 🙂
