I dont get the smear campaign against Fields. Tbh I think the Jets would be silly not to take him if they are 100 percent moving on from Darnold. Wilson has an arm and looked nice on his pro day but facing decent teams, he simply wasnt that good.

But whatever Jets will **** up whatever they end up doing.
The OLD Jets

I have faith in the new regime

There’s 3 QBs in the draft, I’ll die on this Trevor-Fields-Wilson hill. Good luck to all those whose teams pick the others 🙂

I think there are 4

lance only 20 and that dude got solid size and speed/athleticism

he’s a better keap to me.. more athletic, not just straight line fast and doesn’t have the elongated throwing motion

and dude doesn’t have the accuracy issues josh allen came in with

I got more questions about say Wilson, just because he had a significant injury.. but he has some adjusting to level of play, just like lance does

Like speaking of nuance

all of the guys will have adjusting to do

but I have zero clue how anyone watches that bama offense and jumps to the conclusion mac Jones is the most pro ready of any of em.. even without waddle, that offense, the WRs, that oline and the RBs

to me fields, is the most pro ready just because of the level of competition he faced.. and that OSU offense was/is more complex than what is being run at clemson

but lance probably had the most pre snap responsibilities but he played a lower level of competition and doesn’t have as much experience as fields

MCSHAY IS A CLOWN! Mocking Justin Fields at 11 to the Pats should have led to him being FIRED! But of course, ESPN allows the ******** to continue.

The teams with the first 3 picks in the draft are all drafting quarterbacks.

One of those teams is a dysfunctional organization that has been looking for stability at qb for over 50 years, and has been a place where rookie qb’s go to suffer. Another one of those teams has been pretty bad itself the past 15 years or so aside from a run in 2017, they have a bit of upside though. The final team on the list has a pretty solid roster, is a pretty stable organization and has had recent success with two separate regimes over the past decade mixed in with some struggles between those regimes.

I’m wondering how much the organization these guys get drafted to will have a role in their success or lack of success in their careers.

The situation/organization always plays a huge role in how a QB progresses. The 9ers clearly have the best situation for their rookie QB.

I would not want to go to the Jets if I was one of those guys. Just 3 years ago Darnold was supposed to be the savior. He was arguably more sought after than any qb in this draft not named Trevor Lawrence. Hell I remember the suck for Sam movement in 2017. The Jets absolutely failed that guy. It’s a new regime now. But I could understand if a qb wanted nothing to do with the Jets. Everything they’re telling Zach Wilson about how he’s going to be the guy. They were telling Sam Darnold the same barely 3 years ago, now he’s disposable.

The Jacksonville situation is a bit more appealing though imo.

Yeah the Jets are a mess. Zach Wilson will have to be beyond great to make it. Jacksonville is a decent spot for Trevor to land. Having Urban Meyer there makes things very interesting.

To me I think the complete opposite, outside UGA, Ohio State had the most 5 star players, even more than Bama, and only less six 4 star recruits than them. I also believe the talent gap between Ohio State and the next Big Ten school is much wider than Bama and the next SEC school. The knock that we haven't seen Mac without talent can equally be used for Fields. For me when Trey Sermon carried the team in the final games. Against ranked opponents, Fields completion percentage is almost 10% lower, his rushing yards per attempt is close to 4 YPG and only account for 3 of his 19 career rushing TDs.

In reality Justin Fields only has 5 more starts than Mac Jones, so I can't even say he's that much more experienced.

I mean if not for the bama center getting hurt we’d see half of the offense go in the 1st or 2nd.. and we’ll see more off that offense in the 1st or 2nd in ‘22

waddle still might go over smith.. and then there is leatherwood, who goes latest high 2nd

I think the top 4 is clear as far as QBs

and not like mac jones is bad, I just see him like Matt leinart or ken dorsey

but I specifically used expenrience with regard to trey lance, who I’m high on.. but he does have less experience at a lower level

I guess you can’t get what you don’t at least ask for....

He had that one game against the saints.

I think 9ers are trading jimmy they hope to get more than a 2nd but they needed to make him available sooner......hes going to be on broncos or pats and hes going to have a good season and we are going to hear bears fans crying that their management dropped the ball again by having 2 backup QBs when they could have gotten JimmyG

Ryan Pace & Nagy should have gotten the axe this offseason. How they survived another go at it is crazy.

Not a fan of either of those guys but they did make the playoffs last year. It’s not like they were Jets or Jags level bad

NickFolarin NickFolarin completely unrelated to anything but my friend was doing some research on whether he should trade James Robinson today in his dynasty league and my friend briefly recalled Trent Balkee had a weird obsession with drafting running backs, players with torn ACLs, running backs who had done both every year, and a lot of 💩 players so he went back and looked at his drafts as the 49ers GM

So THAT’S why we brought Hyde back for a second stint.

I hope and pray Balkee was promoted just as a body to hold the position and Tony & Urban make the decisions. But at this point idk what I’m more scared of, drafting bad or drafting good players and unable to even resign them.
