What, exactly, am I gargling here? Is this not EXACTLY what happened?

Did we not get that Top 5 pick, and a shot at all 3 of those QB's? Did I not say I don't care about Rosen?

Has anyone brought up the Jets traded three 2's and the #6 pick (that turned into Quentin Nelson) to get Darnold, and now have flipped him 3 years later and didn't take the three 1's and a 3rd for #2?

You were extremely jazzed about the ability of the Dolphins to trade Rosen for a future second but im glad we ignored that he got cut after being a failure of an experiment after your entire selling point was you would be able to trade him later even if he didnt work out.

Has anyone brought up the fact that the Dolphins traded Ryan Tannehill (a franchise QB) for a 4th round pick? Or that the Dolphins traded a second round pick for Josh Rosen and cut him a year later? Or that the Dolphins took the worst QB in the draft last year?

Seems like throwing stones in a glass house here

Couldn't tell Jets fans nothing about Sam Darnold

Having a high pick is exciting, especially when it's a QB.

First year was up & down but you could chalk it up to being a 20 year old rookie. He showed some flashes that you could be optimistic about.

Year two was more of the same. But again, 21 year old QB with a ****** coach & roster. We'll see what next year brings.

Year three was a trainwreck regardless of Sam's situation. Just awful mechanics & decision making that a third year player should not be doing.

I'm not going to blindly defend him just cause he plays for my favorite team. We took a shot on him & it didn't pan out. On to the next one.

You all HATED Tannehill, while I praised him the whole way. And he's played exactly how he could have the entire time if we built around him better. NOW he's a franchise guy to you?

We certainly did fail to get anything for Rosen. That is a miss on our part. The cost was an extra 2nd we had, worth the shot, didn't hurt our overall position.

Tua is now the worst QB in the 2020 Draft? :lol

Blinders. You're the JETS, man. Nobody needs blinders.

Funny thing, I haven't eval'd Darnold one bit. Don't care enough about him.

But Jet fans sure gargled him good the last couple years, til he's gone, now you trashin him heavy. I see ya. 👍
Why you keep talking about the Jets bro ... why you acting like the Phins are better?

Fpr the past 20 years we have been a much better organization and that's saying a lot about the ****** "FLIPPERS".

Stop it.

Are we even certain tua is the guy? I think he’s good but he needs to make significant strides next season

Tannehill has proven he can lead a team with the Titans.

I guessing pissing away a second is only smart when its the Dolphins.

Meant to say top 10 QB, but Tua certainly wasnt good last year nor was he better than the QB taken one spot behind him.

Imagine the players the dolphins could have had if they traded down for three firsts last year. Could have had Becton or Wirfs, and a bunch of picks to build around Josh Rosen to make that situation work. Instead they just cut the kid for nothing when they could have kept rolling with him as their franchise QB and stacked picks. Then, all of those picks would have made Josh Rosen into a pro bowl Quarterback and they could have profited off the other firsts they had.

It's just easy for most (CP included) to scream LOLJETS and keep it moving.

I'm laughin about it. I merely mention Darnold being replaced by another Darnold and ya'll been quoting me for two days.

But hey, I'm a Dolphins fan, so I can't....speak of the Jets, I guess? :lol

I think the problem is some people ignored his flaws in college. He was on a very talented roster at USC. The same flaws he had at college he still got now.

LoL

True .. but put this into perspective, we are replacing him with another Darnold, on numerous occasion you have replaced your QBs with a Jets ....

Chad
Ryan

Yikes

But then you replace a Chad Henner with another Chad Henne ... that was replace by another Chad Henne and ultimately by another Jet.

Give me a break bro ..... comment away but you have not only drafted great players that you turn into bust and the reat of the NFLs leftovers ....... no room to laugh!

I’m still trying understand how a top 64 pick and a 4th and 6th are considered “some mid”

Perhaps people are finding your argument disingenuous considering the Jets are doing the exact same thing the Dolphins did last year that you praised the Dolphins for which is move on from a bust of a QB from the 2018 draft class to select the guy who you think could be your franchise QB and not trade down for more picks. The only difference between the situations is the Jets got a 2nd,4th, and 6th and the Dolphins cut the dude for nothing.

It seems like cherry picking when you come to two different conclusions for an identical set of facts.
