I think Miles will eventually play again, but he’ll be sitting down for the foreseeable future. Not that there’s ever a good time to be a domestic abuser, but in this climate it’s curtains for him on a basketball court for awhile. And deservedly so.
And I think it goes without saying that the main concern here is his wife and their kids, but bringing it back to basketball for a second, he really screwed the Hornets. Not that anyone expected them to be contenders this year, but there was slightly more than a glimmer of hope they’d make some strides this coming season. They still have bright spots in Melo, and to a lesser extent some of the other young guys. But lawd Miles not being part of that equation throws a wrench in things.
Just a bad situation all around. Everyone lost.
