Yea exactly, reminds me of TO who was a first ballot HOFer by all metrics and measures but only got in 3 or 4 years later cause the voters had an agenda against him.
Doesn't mean someone like Randy Moss who got in 1st ballot didn't deserve to, just that TO got held out over petty personal ******** the same way these Baseball All-Timers have been

I understand, but we know what it is. It's not like he's the only one to ever take votes away from those other guys. I think the whole voting thing is dumb anyway. Ortiz is a HOFer, in my opinion, so he deserved it. They all should be in and it doesn't/shouldn't require "votes." It's all a big joke that I don't really care about because the whole process is jaded. I get where you're coming from though and you're not wrong.

As a Red Sox fan I grew up watching him, so I don't forget. He was my favorite 90's Red Sox player.
