How does that 1 of 1 wind up in an auction house anyway if Ye didnt put it there?

Not sure if you’re serious but ownership of samples (or even old PEs, etc.) can vary. For example, Nike probably has a bunch of Air Yeezy samples in their archives that they own. I’m not 100% sure about the ownership history of this pair but it’s possible that Nike or Ye moved them years ago (for charity or otherwise) and they ended up switching hands enough that they ended up on this auction site.

Yeah, funny enough but I went to the Grammy museum in LA in late 2009 and they legit had Kanye’s entire 2008 Grammy outfit with lights and everything on lol

I think a lot of memorabilia is like artwork where the current owners will lease it to museums, etc. for exhibits either by being paid to do so or getting some sort of tax write off, etc.
