Resale prices aren't bad though, there isn't hypebeast hype for these as they made enough pairs to appease sneakerheads and common folk who don't know anything about hyped kicks (which is a good thing).

Sounds exactly like my 2011 experience smh. Waited at a midnight release at Villa, showed up like 4 hrs early, was probably like 6th in line. By 11 **** looked like a block party. Dudes pulling guns bullying old ladies all kinds of BS. About 15 cops showed up eventually. Left there and went to a mall and slid in the maintenance entrance and chilled in a bathroom till 6. When Security finally opened the doors. About 200 idiots rushed in. Trampling each other. That release was a disgrace. Haven’t waited for a shoe since.
Yikes, this makes me thankful GR retro hype/resale is more or less dead. You know the vast majority of the people in your story had no intention of actually wearing their pairs.

Agree son, this ain’t 2011. Times have changed. All year GR Jordan’s have been easy to obtain, including bc 3s. Win like 82 sat, they kind of like the cords. This year we’ve also seen 11s hit outlets. The price hike to $220 is a factor too. People fail to see all this. Cords will sit, sit hard as all Jordan’s do. Sneaker game is dead in the water.

Yeah what some of the younger dudes won’t understand is those of us that are a lil older with families value our time differently. Even 5 minutes. We are busy asf all day every day, we don’t want to add anything even something small to that to do list. Plus speaking for myself I just don’t have the patience I used to, just taking the time to do the online raffles can be irritating. I’ll gladly fork over the extra 30. I already put enough time into this hobby dealing with countless crazy releases back when you had to put in actual footwork to cop sought after releases.

i remember 2011,,,, niketalk had me gassed to go wait infront of niketown nyc...i got there at like 1130 pm i was 11th on line, in about a hour there was about a hundred people ,, and it got cold,,, so i left the line,,, and got a milk crate and put it where i was ...... then went to the apple store where i stayed for basically the whole earlt moring,,,, around 6 they gave out tickets ...i was like not me and this bs again....
