Air Jordan 14 Retro - "Black Toe" White/ Varsity Red/ Black ~ Summer 2014 RD: 9/20/2014

I HAVE ALL BUT THE TAXIS WHICH IM NOT A FAN OF.. OH AND OF COURSE THE XIV'S WHICH JUST DROPPED…BUT IM PRETTY MUCH GOING TO COP AS SOON AS I HAVE THE CHANCE… THESE PICS LOOK SOLID

I'm surprised these didn't sell out. One of the better looking XIV colorways imo. Dude who brought up the older generation stopping at XIIs was spot on. I'm not a huge fan of a lot of the ones after XIIIs. The red and white XVIIIs are fire though.

I'm of the older generation and XIVs have always been one of my fav models. IX, X, and XIII are the models I don't care for much..

It always boils down to preference, man. I like a few XIV colorways. I agree with his statement because I like every model from I-XIII. After XIII it's hit or miss imo.

I'm from the older generation nearly 30 and the 11s-14 are all up there with me personally cause they are the ones I remember kids wearing the most when i was in middle school. But i don't care for any after 14.

Jordan sig line really died after the xx2. Everything started looking like generic jordan brand stuff.

The xx looked good but i had a real problem with it being an air jordan and having no air whatsoever

I have never copped anything past XIV for casual wear, so it died for me there. Anything past that was for on court purposes only. Most of the line past XIV was better for performance than looks imo.

Need concords and Jake shuttlesworths' :{

The xviii-xx2 seemed more for casual wear

The xviii and xix with the double stacked zoom air heel was so comfortable but not stable enough imo for ball although i shouldnt say the xviii because they had that carbon fiber insole that helped. I just chose to replace it with my reebok answer insoles

the xx has a air pod in the heel and podulon for the rest.

the xviii was great for basketball btw. just don't play in the suede version. the leather version and the xviii+ had better support.

i like every j 1-14 (except the II i know the shoes have history but i just can't get with it) for me so it's the cw that means more than the model.the only j i mess with after the 14 is the wizards 17 which has a very special place with me & is a top 5 grail.

By casual wear I mean off court when I care about what my kicks look like, on court I'll wear something even if Im not feeling the looks if functions well. I balled in the XV-XVII and the 2009-2011's and all were decent but nothing spectacular IMO. I usually replace the insoles in shoes I ball in. Think the 2011 was the best but it's also the last model I've worn, LOL!

And didn't "Air Jordan" start as his nickname

Michael "Air" Jordan, not because the shoes actually had air in them? Am I wrong here?

I was referring to Jake Shuttlesworth purposely, Jesus Shuttlesworths' father in the movie who is the only person in the film to purchase, rock, and play in the white/black 13s in the Spike Lee film "He Got Game." Jesus Shuttlesworth never wears any Air Jordans in the movie. Mostly rockin the Foamposite Ones and playin in some other Nikes. Come on man. Cute lil gifs tho. Nice try. Check my record fool.

I'm pretty sure he's referring to the scene in He Got Game where Jesus' dad, Jake, bought a pair of XIII's.
Exactly. Repped. And he also plays in them when he plays against Jesus one on one in the park.

Jordan sig line "died" when he stopped playing for the Bulls in my humble opinion stopping at the AJ14. 1-14 and then there are just the rest of them
