It's very unfortunate, but it's true.  

This is why I sold my 2011 White/Cements, and will be passing on these, plus the Black/Cements.   

They are lovely to look at, but knowing they will one day chip, led me to go hunting successfully for the older retros.

Didn't even give them a chance to be honest, I sold them DS to a friend because I would have been devastated if they started chipping on me

First of all as I already stated older retros cracked. I'm almost positive the new ones wont crack since the newer retro IX haven't cracked, and I've seen people beat those up.
I purchased a pair of cement 3's from '03 in august of last year and those started to crack, hence the reason I don't wear them anymore.
Everybody I know who owns '11 White Cement 3's and Doernbechers is yet to crack.

Mikkol can we maybe see pics of these "cracking" pairs?

i have been wearing my 2011 white cements and the right shoe shoes no sign of cracking, but the left is showing some cracks in the heel. nothing on the mid sole though.
its all good tho.
