Is paint stripping on the outsole a common problem in these?

None of my 2 pairs (1 DS the other one I am wearing right now) has paint stripping. My DS pair does have a minor paint chip on the midsole though.

At one point I had 6 pairs of these. For the prices they were going for during the Last Dance hype, I happily downgraded to 3 right now.

Got a lil silver paint marker on the toe box
Anyone with experience getting this out without stripping some black withit ?
I can live wiTh the silver spot more than I could live with a faded smudged out bigger stain so I’m torn between letting it rock and cleaning it up

nevermind, used a dab of tide kick pen to thin out the silver and a quick jason mark wash and im gucci

Nope they're 99s. I just sole swapped them and repainted. The midsole color is off a bit I couldn't get the color match spot on.

I like your profile pic. Isn’t that a sample pair? I want to customize my infrareds to make the Nike Air the infrared color. I ALWAYS thought the Nike Air should have been that color. Same with the maroons. Want to paint the Nike Air maroon. Although the NA on the maroons does seem to stand out a little better.

Here you go bro here is a stock photo with mine. They're 99's but that cream grey cement color is just super hard to match.

That sounds so dope with the maroons forsure. I did my 2019s customed like the sample I like them a lot but had to change them back to normal after a while. I really wish I could get a pair of the samples so bad I love the color of them it looks like a pinkish, red orange lol. So dope!

At first glance they simply look off shape-wise. I could tell immediately. And I'm not the only one, as someone else up there thought they were 2016's.

Like a lot of us, I've been staring at 1999's for the past 21 years. You can tell right away they're not true 99's as it seems like the sole swap scrunched them up. They still look pretty good though.

How did you get the grey outline on the 2019 BC 4's ? 2019 version come blacked out

White/Grey colored pencil and trace along the exposed durabuck edges. Did the same thing for my 2019 black infrareds

Yeah with my pair I actually bought a prisma color pencil and I went over mine with white but it fades after a few wears and before that I painted it with a small brush and grey paint but that ended up fading. Check out hoopfr3sh on Instagram he has a pair where he painted on the edges too. Painting will be way more noticeable and the pencil will be more subtle I like pencil version more.
