Air Jordan XXXII (32)

hi guys, need some inputs here,
i'm 38 year old, and starting to have bad knee problem (patellar tendonitis)
im 6'0" / 220
i played 3/4 mostly spot up outside shooter and rebounder ( in my league, there's seldom tall people  )
i have also history of Achilles rupture in my right foot.
i played competitively twice a week in a not so clean wooden floor court.
now i have D Rose 6 and Lebron 14 in my rotation.
now im looking to add something new to my rotation,
but can't decide between the Lebron 15 or the XXX2

at first after reading some reviews, i really want to get the lebron 15 , because 1 of the most important thing for me in a shoe is their cushioning, but then i read that the mass produced model doesnt have the outtrigger that the PE have. and due to the cushioning , the shoe sit quite high of the ground, so the lack of outriggers means the shoes is very tippy. That is something that i don't want. due to my age, an ankle injury can last me 1-2 months without balling , and not to mention without work as well.

so im interested in the XXX2, but recent jordan that i tried, cant remember its the XXX or 29 give me some discomfort on my achilles tendon. and also the Melo M10 giving me the same problem too, discomfort on my Achilles tendon due to the heel sculpture.
so is the XXX2 have similar heel sculpture as those ?
does anyone here that wears XXX2 for ballin, have any issues with their achilles ?

and lastly, all the XXX2 colorways that i see have translucent rubber outsole, do they perform well enough on dusty wooden court ?
or should i wait for the colorway that uses solid rubber outsole ?

or i'll be better with a "lebron 15 Elite" which supposedly have the outriggers ?

thank you in advance guys.

Get the 15's, more cushioning and better for your game. You're not a quick guard so you'll be good. Get those 32's if you want, on a dusty floor too? Get ready too look like this!

I don’t know if there is an outrigger model set to release for the 15s, and I haven’t tried the 32s, but I can say the 15s are the most comfortable basketball shoes I’ve worn to date. I also wear ankle braces when I play because of bad sprains to both ankles In the past, but this past week I’ve been playing at the gym by my parents place while visitimg for the holidays and didn’t wear the braces and felt fine.

End of the day, the shoes might be unstable for a freak of nature like LeBron, but for me and the game I play, they work just fine. It’s also hard for any one of us to give you anything other than our input, as you’d ultimately know best which shoe feels right.

In an ideal world I’d say get both haha but I know it’s not always like that. From what you’ve described as far as your style of play, I think the 15s would be fine and I’d say wear a light ankle wrap for mental peace of mind.

Good input and advice.

old team jordans used to have great tech with a pure basketball look...now they put junk tech in most of them and try to make them look cool, and it rarely works.

This isn't true

Superfly's normally have tech on part with the regular version and have been highly regarded.

yah JB takedown models usually have the tech from the prior years mainline AJs

I also feel like most recent Melos been a pretty good performer too and it doesn't hurt that they go on practically bargain bin discount

I bought a pair of J32s and LBJ15s online. Was initially thinking I'd keep the Js for ball but they both came in today and holy crap the Js are the stiffest basketball shoes I've ever put on. First off taking it on and off feels like I'm putting on high top Cons. My feet are sore just from trying them on. The 15s on the other hand just feel amazing. The front of the shoe is a little stiff as well, but nothing compared to the 32s. The traction also is definitely worse on the 32s. I can't speak to the outrigger just yet because I haven't had the chance to get a game in but I did a little running around at home with some hard cuts and it felt good.

As far as ankle protection goes, I've always found I prefer low cuts even with a history of ankle injuries because a higher ankle doesn't stop from rolling but it does add resistance that could mess you up depending on the force of the twist. In short, I'm keeping the 15s.

A good alternative would be the Kobe AD Mid with a solid outsole or DROSE 8 w/translucent rubber. Both have stellar cushion, traction, and support in that order. Having owned the LBJ 15, XXX2, HD2017, and Kobe AD Mids (nikeID), and a ton of other older ball shoes, I'd say the DROSE 8 is the more complete package, especially on dust. The materials aren't durable and do feel the cheapest out of all the shoes I've tried though.

I think he meant the retros of the team jordans.. not the current model team Jordan's. because the retros have been exposed to having weak tech when compared to its yesteryear.

I really believe JB released the lows and highs at the same time to unload the 32’s faster. The fit is bad and uncomfortable.

What I don't get is how they went from the Jordan 29s to this. People are saying good things about the Jordan 32 traction and bad things about the LeBron's but it's definitely not improved.

CNY’s and the camo lows both dope.

Far as the OG 2 colorway, give em time. We’re still relatively early in the season. Hell, we haven’t eem hit the AS break yet.

For as antsy as some of you seem, you could just but an actual pair of AJ2’s. Lol

I would if they’d remaster them. Lol.

Westbrook’s new sig is up on SNKRS. Drops 1/15 for $125

Full length zoom and internal laces (doesn’t show how that works)

I’m not feeling this scrapbooking colorway but if the performance reviews are good I might grab a different pair to play in once the discos hit, good starting point for full length zoom.

I'm in for the Mirror Image pair. Just gotta figure out how that toebox will be like? Is it going to be low and need a .5 up in size for my toes to not feel confined or tts thinking the material flexes more than the 32 (which the toebox is tight and I had to go up .5. Gotta think about this.

I'm not too crazy about them, but then again I don't have to be. But I think these are brilliant because they are a sig, a Jordan sig at that for a player who is heralded in the top 5 playing right now, these shoes matches Russ's playing style and fashion style more so than any other Jordan athlete, and they're at the right price range, I think these will do well.
