AJ XXX (30)

There's no way these are the 30s.  Not once have they ever used the same outsole, and this is the 30th anniversary.  Other than the XXX branding, I thought these were a 29.  This is some designer playing around with 30 branding on the 29; this can't be the 30.  Does anyone really want triple X on their shoes...really?

I haven't stopped by in a month and yall still haven't unearthed those 30 pics??

Yall are slipping.

I was counting on all the NT Detectives in here! :smh:

....j/k

i dunno didnt someone here say they saw the XXXs.

i was browsing in here maybe a couple month ago and someone said theyve seen the XXX (obviously cant talk about it) but they look like an updated 29.

@LA KB24  was it you? i vaguely remember the person having something to do with kobe lol

Before you make your final decision on the Jordan 30, remember it's a sample. Tooling from 29 to test & incorporating next design. The progression you see from Jordan sig to Jordan sig almost always took cues from the last model.

Wasn't the delay of the 30 due to MJ not liking the initial design? This would make sense because he probably had it modified to be more like the 29s (which he and many basketball players seem to love). Changing the tooling significantly would require a lot more re-engineering (so the shoe wouldn't fall apart and would also hold up well on court) and, possibly due to time constraints, they stuck with near identical tooling to the 29s (which was already excellent).

I really dig what I'm seeing! Cant wait to see more colorways!! Could these be a black history month version since it has the African continent on the tongue?

They look nice but no "WOW " factor at least xx9 had some wow to them.   I'm more interested in the xx9 lows.

guess this debunks the theory about XXX branding issues. they plastered it over the entire heel. very uhh... "creative"?

I wonder if this sample is closer to what they supposedly scrapped, or what they're planning on releasing. the way the XXX looks vaguely reminds me of the hyperflights.

Re-badging the shoe was a joke...controversy sells. This is a once in a lifetime "justifiable" marketing dream to sell a product with branding that obviously lights fires. Imagine the interest this bold branding will generate in your average Footaction sitting on the shelf beside traditional hoop shoes. Or even on the basketball court. The reveal during ASW is going to be sick. The NFL unhesitatingly used XXX in 1996 with the Super Bowl loudly; a game obviously more important to this country than a pair of Air Jordans. Nobody cried foul. I'm glad companies don't skirt around it because of what porn companies decided to brand their stuff in 1969.

to bad that's not the superbowl where Janet showed off, then there'd been crazy foul cries

Most didn't like the 29's when the first saw them and they grew on them, the 30's will be the same way.

Those samples look petty good. Best first impression of a new jordan for me since the 16.
Are you being sarcastic?  Other than the XXX branding, how does anyone see these as looking any different than a 29 with different imagery on the upper from that pic?

man those pictures sucked. can't see crap other than XXX on the back of the shoe.

and i agree that the xx9 tooling is just for prototype to show what they might or might not do with certain design.

Jordan Brand has got to be pissed these leaked. Gonna take a lot to sell people on buying these 29s with a 30 logo on them at full retail. There was little to no creativity in these if these are them.

Made the mistake of searching Jordan XXX on google images. **Does not lead to pictures of shoes

:nerd: :nerd: :nerd:

Leaked pics look interesting. Really haven't ****** with any design after 23s.. (XX9 are lightweight dope tho)

I'm thinking this is some type of early sample/wear test pair. No way they do the same exact outsole. Hopefully.

This.
Like the wear/test sample of the aj17 which had a completely different upper but the sole was 90% of the final product.
I think this is one used the xx9 sole comcept to check how it performs with the upper.

But overall it looks like a xx9 knock off.
Interesting is that they slapped an africa continent logo on the tongue instead of 23 or a jumpman.

I wish the pic was at least fully assembled. it's hard to get a good idea of the overall shape but from what I see it looks like a Jordan 10 type outsole could fit these nicely. don't want it to be exactly the same but the same general idea. no icy sole would be nice too... they've used them so much I hate icy soles now.
