All Things Sports Media Thread!!

fs1 are morons. nolan was one of the only hip, young talents they had that wasn't an espn reject. I dunno why they even cancelled her show. It was only on once a week, was low budget and filmed in a small office.

Seeing all of these ESPN rejects on FS1 reminds me of late 90s WCW with all of their WWF rejects.

Yeah. Their eric bischoff has already been fired for sexual harrassment though.

Personally I can't wait for a Viagra/Cialus-free and DFS-free NFL viewing experience, starting next year.

The problem I guess though is this means the NFL has to fill in those spots....and that probably means more Flo from Progressive and Peyton Manning hawking the three things left on earth he hasn't endorsed yet.

I wasn't a fan of hers at first since I thought she was just going to be quirky but I watched her show and she's really charming besides being cute.

Great Listen

Miss @StuartScott everyday. He should have been 52 today. Cancer sucks. #DominateLife

espn really has become tmz level trash. Multiple channels airing the oj parole hearing wasn't necessary. Then they analyzed the parole for an hour or two and then analyzed it again later on. They even talked to someone with a doctorate to analyze the parole hearing even more. I dunno how you even do that. This isn't court tv.

Catching up on LeBatard.

Winds of change a blowin’ at the NFL on CBS and Fox

AwfulAnnouncing

The 2017 NFL season is going to sound different on both CBS and Fox. As we told you earlier this month, there’s going to be a lineup shuffle for the NFL on Fox’s bottom tier of announcers. And at CBS, we already know Tony Romo will be replacing Phil Simms and there will be other changes coming as well.

Let’s take a look at what we know about the new lineups at both networks:

We start up top with Tony Romo. He’s joining the NFL on CBS’ “A” team with Jim Nantz. He’ll call both the top Sunday afternoon game for CBS as well as the first half of the Thursday Night Football package on both CBS and NFL Network.

With Romo in with Nantz, that means Phil Simms is out as lead analyst, but he’ll be joining the NFL Today so you won’t have heard the last of him. There was an opening on the NFL Today because Tony Gonzalez left for Fox.

Long-time analyst Solomon Wilcots announced that he was not returning to CBS and the network hired Hall of Fame wide receiver James Lofton from Westwood One Radio.

Over to Fox, Tony Gonzalez joins to become part of the Fox NFL Kickoff pregame at 11 a.m. ET.

Jay Cutler will join the NFL on Fox’s “B” team with Kevin Burkhardt and Charles Davis.

Chris Myers confirmed that he’ll have a new partner this season: Daryl "Moose" Johnston.

So Johnston who had worked with Kenny Albert the past few seasons will be demoted to working with Myers. That means Albert will have a new partner, perhaps that will be Ronde Barber.

Former ESPN’er Mark Schlereth will be part of the NFL on Fox. His partner is likely to be **** Stockton.

So there’s going to be a lineup shuffle at both the NFL on CBS and the NFL on Fox. CBS especially prides itself on staying consistent, but it’s lineup will look much different in 2017.

Cian Fahey gonna be doin NFL podcasts for ESPN. I know that's gonna be popular around these parts.

The newest Simmons pod with Cycle CEO/Founder Jason Stein is a VERY good listen. Highly recommend.

Looks like TrueHoop/TBA is dead yet again. Jade the producer is gone, no pods on Monday or Tuesday.. no word on anything yet. ESPN just seemed like they didn't care.. all other pods I listen to have found some way to monetize and bring in ad revenue.

Jade left and there's rumors that some of the non ESPN people won't be back. No pods the last 3 days either
