and we're done

“He’s so athletic, he could go to the basket anytime he wanted it,’’ Earl said. “But he got fouled and referees never called it. He was getting beat up and getting tired of it. I’m not bashing referees. But they get caught up watching and not reffing. I always thought that about him and Melo, too. There’s some guys you can’t even touch. Not them. Maybe it’s because everybody hates New York.’’
Why didn't DubA tell us he was JR's dad?

Cat's out the bag now g.

Dolan should be an OG and just be like we can only give u 5 this season, but whatever the best offer is you get on the open market this summer, just let us know and we'll pay you that starting next year when we have your full bird rights. Regardless of injury or if your play falls off, it'll be like signing a contract this summer. Obviously if we feel the numbers too high then we go our separate ways this summer.

I don't see why it can't be done

Are we sure we would even have full Bird Rights if he stayed one more year? I know it's 3 years on one team to be eligible but how does him coming over mid-season from China as a FA work into that?
positive.

if he takes a SMALL discount for just this 1 year after next season we'll have his full bird rights and be able

to pay him WHATEVER HE WANTS and we'll be able to go over da salary cap to do so.

c'mon JR...you know aint no one ****** w/ NY

It's not the single year discount as an issue.. It's the uncertainty of the years after if you get injured.

He goes down with an injury end of next season, are the Knicks going to keep their "word" and give him a big deal? That's what will be on Jr's mind. Plus he already took a discount this year.

welp...thats when JR and dolan gotta go behind some closed doors and see whats really good.

I forgot, this is exactly what the Twolves did with Joe Smith. That cost them 3 first round picks, Smith himself and a 3.5 million fine. He signed below market value and Twolves promised him a major deal with full bird rights to be in place.

Hopefully he gets hurt again and we can cut him. Last thing we need is him taking up a roster space that we could fill with a James White caliber player.

If we face Miami in the ECF, James White will be a body we're going to throw at him. You need to throw as many bodies on that man as possible. Keep him guessing every which way.

You mean LeBron? If we face Miami in the ECF, I don't see White getting any minutes unless we're up or down 40+.:lol

You may be right, but when we played Miami a few times, we never had one person on him the whole game.

I think we can take down Lebron, but we'd have to get in his face and his head. Or we can just eliminate the entire team and let Lebron play hero ball the entire series. Whatever the scenario is, I think we can take Miami this time around.

Shump is on Wade, Martin is on Bosh, Melo can stay on James along with others and Tyson needs to watch that peacock.

Miami is def going to pressure Melo again though. Ball denial through and through. We need to find a way to hedge against that.

Yuku.

EDIT: I actually really like how well we match up with Miami, and I think we stand the best chance in the east at beating them.

I'm assuming the celtics win tonight and lose game 4. Gotta assume their role players step up at home

A win tonight would be amazing. But i don't think we get one with all the emotion. However we are straight up the more talented team so emotion might not mean ****
