Graded cards are insane right now, think I’m stacking up on 9s. Currently finding 9’s UNDER raw prices and tbh these raw cards on eBay etc are usually picked through and won’t grade well unless you’re diligent in the pictures and requesting some more. Hard to see through a screen as well. It’s taken for granted how difficult a 10 really is and it’s hilarious when breakers, etc constantly give out comps to a PSA 10 like all cards are graded that.

bullpenLA - pullkingz and the pullwax crew are great but pricey imo.

cardcollector is everywhere. He was in on like 3 different breaks at the same time while doing his own at times. He was on bullpen’s and hit some great cards as well.

I was recommended bullpenLA for PSA submissions but then somebody else said their subs would take just as long as me submitting to PSA directly? Anybody know if they/anybody else has a quicker return time PSA plug?

I just missed out on 8 more boxes. I caught the guy stocking the cards and he said a few minutes before I got there, someone grabbed 8. Anyway, happy I at least got 2 of those and 2 cello Mosaic packs.

Earlier in the day though, went to another Wal Mart and some dude that I’ve been routinely texting when I saw stuff that he was looking for, was at the store. Anyway, I asked him to let me know when he saw basketball, and there he was with at least 4 Mega boxes and whatever else in his cart and of course my phone was without a text. Gave him about a minute to see whether he’d at least offer a box since I wasn’t going to ask. He didn’t, so I started walking out the door and he’s asking questions about Target, and I ignored him. He’s sent pics of what he’s grabbed in the past, but only after I let him know what I got at the very same store. Clearly it was a one way with him.

Guess there’s a lot more to worry about in life than someone not reciprocating info. Oh well, it’s life, what can you do? It’s still irritating as hell, though.

This Optic restock was Walmart and Meijers only from what I heard. And my method is to only focus on 3 stores that I can check 3-5 times a day without spending a lot of time on the road.

One I was in Walmart at 7:45 and they were there, the other one was around 11:30. The last Wal-Mart still has yet to stock but the last time I checked was at 3.

Every time I’ve gotten lucky, it’s been between 9am - 12 pm. I usually hit the stores again that didn’t show stock if they’re on my way home. Of course, there’s been nothing there, but I feel better for checking if it’s not out of the way.

I went back to Walmart and met a gentleman looking at the cards and we started chopping it up.
He was telling me about his collection, older guy in his 50’s, and he was telling me about the crowd who collect in my area. He was saying that the vendor comes in and restocks on Friday morning 5/6am, and people are lined up an hour before the store opens...
He says one guy will come in and buy everything out.
I told him I’m going to line up early morning tomorrow and if I can get him a box of 2020 NBA I’m a grab one for him, gotta spread the love.

No Optic, but this was a consolation at target. Ripped them all and ended up making 50 bucks on top of the 120 I spent by selling the cards I pulled.

This stuff is glorified gambling. Tbh I can see a slight slowdown in cards once casinos/sports gambling returns. Dudes spending over 10k/night watching some other dude open up cards for him. Gets the cards then really isn’t sure about what his next step is.

same here. i'm not gonna be at a craps table anytime soon, so the rush of opening packs will have to do went to target today 2 packs each of topps opening day and series 2, crap.

frink85 idk much about baseball stuff but base rookie cards, and the silver version moreso, of top rookies in basketball are valuable and super coveted. Prizm is king

I personally like base rookies and silvers more than patch cards and even autos. I think I have 1 or 2 autos but I really just pick up the base rookies and silvers, or parallel versions of the base. I dont have any patch cards.

Hmm ok. So brands/sets do matter. Are base rookie cards being valuable a new-ish trend? Like, I have some early-mid 90's skybox I looked up my Shaq rookie and its like, 4 bucks lol

sole searchin I'm a Denver fan through and through so any of the top players for Broncos or Nuggets Im coppin but Im doing this really more as an investment. Its super fun, since I love sports, but ultimately Im looking to buy and then eventually sell. Im also not in any rush to sell anything right now.

As things play out I could see myself holding onto a couple cards that I think might have the potential, longterm, to really blow the f up. Something like a Luka prizm silver, for example. I dont have any but a Lebron rookie would also fit the bill. Anything I hold onto will be to passed onto my kids.

Just Lebron for me PC wise. Graded, ungraded, base, insert, doesn’t matter. If a Lebron hits my hand it’s staying for the long haul. Everyone else is up for the flip.
