Out of the 4 kings...I think Andy Lau and Jacky Cheung is a tie for me. If I have to choose I’ll choose Andy Lau > Jacky Cheung. Jacky has a better voice but Andy has a better vibe.

Homeboy has the superstar Cool vibe.
Lau has made an Eastern remake of a Western chick flick film and gets a pass.

In the original HK version, Andy just gets away.

What you’re talking about is the special CHINA CENSORED EDITION ending where he gets arrested because criminals can not have a good ending in China movies

In regards to Twins, I think they're managed by Emperor group. I don't specifically know if they're run by triads, but yeah there are definitely connections. I remember reading about there being a contract out for Edison Chen's arm when his whole scandal went down and messed up one of the Twins' image

That entertainment group sells their models to rich men. Twins used to be high end escorts. That groups boss is tied to the triads

I dunno, movie was kinda great even if it was a remake. OG was great too but I don't remember enjoying it as much. Also I hate racist wahlberg but his character had me laughing.

Yeah i found out eventually there were two versions of infernal affairs.
i worked in the movie industry and i was disgusted how much influence the China market and production studios were having to American mvoies and how much kowtowing the industry was doing to appease the CCP.
