yea...  some people like to because they find them narrow.  My foot isn't crazy wide so when I size up, I find them a bit long

yea I'm the same way, that's why I kept the size 13 I had instead of a 12. Rather it roomy then right, cuz uncomfortable shoes don't get worn by me
