Basketball Thread About Nothing

even tho its seems to be legal by the dwade example, i still think by rule it would seem to be an illegal 3…in a scenario where the jump shooter was more straight up but still in a slightly staggered stance with the front foot on or over the line and the same thing were to happen where he rising to shoot and front foot happens to come off the floor 1st and the other foot is behind the line i think that would be called a two…i feel like i’ve seen players get called for this but obviously i could be mistaken

Worded that way I can see the confusion about release and foot placement.

The right foot tap admittedly makes it dicey, does he jump off 1 foot (his left which is behind the line), or still both and just have them staggered where depending in your freeze frame you’d think he did? I maintain he leans back into that left foot, right foot elevated, then jumps with his left and 3 but i can see in real time how its slightly arguable. Either way thats a tough *** move. I eat hes more of his videos since he started messing with BallisLife I didnt realize he is 6’6. He’s about to be at the Big 3 combine too coming up

Yeah, he started off playing in the Verse 1 Federation 1v1 down in Austin and next thing I know after Covid he’s east coast/west coast BallisLife and going all over. He’s got a scope, no doubt.

Bro! I love this ****. Takes me back

See a few ppl I know up in here
Those dudes gonna be at it forever, be like 50 still at them type of runs :lol

Knew the Greg cat was bluffin, was doing much wolfing when yo know he ain’t like that

You hit it as soon as you catch or do you wait a while to pull it off?

I know Webb changed his timing up on it as the game went on.

I come in PEace.

I mix it up. Sometimes I hit the quick one. If it’s a dude with little man syndrome, he’s catching a shoulder first, then the spin.

You can also lean on them, give them 2 hard backdown bumps, they’ll brace for the next one and lean in and thats when you spin off. Will leave them stumbling forward every time. 100% effective

Has to be a lot because he has been offered jobs by at least 5 teams iirc but he prefers to just do his videos and have his clients. No way a team is gonna pay a shooting coach more than like 5ms right that’s what a head coach makes

it would not necessarily have to be that he is making a lot, i can imagine the trade off he might have to make to be a coach for a team could not only potentially limit his clientele but also his time so he may not have thought it worth it…that said he probably is making a nice chunk of change tho

I dont see how if you’re Westbrook, Giddey, or Simmons especially you don’t hire Lethal Shooter and give him a wing of the crib and let shooting take your game into the next stratosphere

i’d bet with most guys at that level, with some exceptions, it isn’t really mechanics/technical stuff…it’s more mental(ity) in game. in warmups/shootarounds they prolly knock down shots consistently but in the game, some guys aren’t confident with the shot/are more confident in their other abilities

for simmons especially, there was a criticism/thought that, even tho his form is fine lefty, he should be shooting with his other hand.

even tho the game is much different, i think of how long it took jkidd to be nice with his spot up 3 but (granted it was towards the end) it didn’t really change his game tho

Ben’s form is not fine 😂

But yeah I think most problems are mental for not just him but other brick layers. Or a mental issue that prevents them from fixing their physical shot form.

If Lethal were to be a personal shooting coach for a guy like Ben or for a team, whether it’s Brooklyn or another team, and you don’t see their shooting %s trend up, I feel like the mystique of Lethal shooter goes away. His whole brand takes a major hit

by fine i mean sufficient, not weird, glaringly problematic, and/or hitchy…such that it isn’t really a big issue with his mechanics, dude really just be putting up bricks

there could be a ‘mystique’ aspect too, but i’d imagine a guy like him would take those odds if that’s really what he was on…if anything, i would imagine that job opportunity will be open to him if he keeps his name/rep good; plus isn’t he relatively young?
