big sean featuring kendrick lamar and jay electronica "no i.d" freestyle

This is similar to how Cole moved his album to drop on the same date as Kanye, not a diss but stepping to the challenge...him and Kendrick get it.

But yo if this friendly rivalry spills into that Kendrick-Cole collab!!! :eek :eek :eek we might have to shut it down for a little bit. Those two trying to one up one another verse for verse will be unreal :Nthat

Never forget about Mr Bar for Bar

CBL... Corner Boys Living Like Legends
CBL... Counting Bags of Loot
CBL... Cutting B****** and Leaving

:hat

Reminds me of when Nas went on a rampage on Power 105. Had NORE discover his Puerto Rican side after that and made him leave the rap game for raggaeton :lol

But that's when we got the kufi smacker

this thread is hilarious yall lol...I can really see schoolboy in the mirror now sayin "gotta be better than kendrick cuh" :rollin

Album pushed back another three months...due to "samples"

another round of applause for kendrick he shook the foundation of rap

this is probably like the revolution of rap as we know it. the 2nd Renaissance

Cole moving his date up to challenge Kanye. It was to piggy back record sales.

I honestly wasn't that impressed *shrug* I mean it was nice and all, but cats acting like Kendrick single handedly altered hip hop for doing something that every battle rapper on URL does.. Name drop lol

at people thinking that verse is gonna make all those named rappers "better" rappers

my takeaway from this track is:

1. Big Sean is not a good rapper and is inconsequential within the current rap landscape. Definition of vanilla.

2. Kendrick is a beast and is clearly the future. He is well-rounded enough to become a mega star in rap but the crossover appeal someone like Drake has is still not 100% there. Kendrick is a far better rapper than Drake could ever be, though.

3. Jay Electronica has the gift of presence on a track the likes of which just doesn't come around anymore. The rap world needs more Jay Elec music because he can change the game more so than even Kendrick, IMO.

enjoyed Kendrick verse...hopefully this works out for the fans and we get some amazing bars from the young upstarts.

Dont like ppl turning this into a "diss" tho... i dont see it like that. Just a thump of the chest.

And for the record... Cole Krit Drake, can hold their own with the kid and I actually prefer them over Kendrick even tho neither of 3 have a style like him.

I liken Kendrick to Eminem, you know they can rap and probably are technically the best with their craft but that doesnt automatically make for a better listen than the raps their peers put together.

And lets not forget KRIT washed Kendrick and ASAP on 1 Train
Cole has washed Wale, Pusha T, Big Sean, Jay Elec and Drake on records.

Im not sure if others have put in work like Cole has already but he definitely is in a good position to hit us with some heat.

^^eh true Jay Elec has presence for sure but he doesn't release music...it's impossible for him to have that type of impact he is capable of (honestly he's also too old to do it but that's another issue)

And Rell, how did Cole piggyback album sales? :lol he outsold Yeezus by week 2. If it was so commonplace for up and coming artists to drop on the same date as established stars then it'd happen much more often. Even reading this board people said he was stupid, not gonna sell etc. not to mention his album was significantly better than kanyes. Most people push their albums back not up to compete an established star in the same genre. :lol piggybacking sales smh
