No offense or shots fired, but this kind of response is exactly why hiphop/rap/whatever label we call it pretty much sucks these days...not relevant enough to care

2Chainz is "relevant" ..... Trinidad James, Gucci, French Montana, and whoever else the radio plays is "relevant" --- but honestly how many of them have the skill and talent of Joell? Joell vs any of those dudes would be child abuse.
In the current state of things, if it aint for the trap or lap dances no one cares anymore.

C'mon g, you know mainstream rap/hip hop is all about marketing their image. Ortiz doesn't really fit in although he got bars fa daaaayzNo offense or shots fired, but this kind of response is exactly why hiphop/rap/whatever label we call it pretty much sucks these days...not relevant enough to care

kendrick violated
I literally started when Jay started rhymin' after...
...N' the song is over.
I see your point. In regards to dropping something "groundbreaking," I'm not expecting any of that from this generation of rappers, Kendrick included. Kendrick calling out these dudes was just refreshing, would've been groundbreaking had he came at them on some "come at me bro" type of stuff, but he kept friendly and competitive...When Jay conducts interviews he is as political correct as possible. With that being said, I'm sure Jay has respect for Drake as a rapper to a certain point, but not on some "Top 10/20" type of list or anything of the sort. Even if that were the case, like I stated earlier, a lot of folks don't take Drake seriously as a rapper. Particularly those of us that grew up on Jay, Biggie, Nas, Rakim, KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane, etc. Drake is a rapper/r&b type of cat, nothing wrong with that but we all know or all should know that we aren't going to get any groundbreaking bars from Drake. He's just not that kind of guy. Drake is moreso the new and improved Ja Rule when he was doing his thing.
