big sean featuring kendrick lamar and jay electronica "no i.d" freestyle

:lol @ at the praise Pusha is getting on NT. he aint that nice.

im mad kdot didnt call out Wayne. i'd like to see take rap serious again.

He didn't call him out cause he ain't ****, and aint been **** in years, and even think he was a bit more than tolerable. "Freestyling" for 10 minutes =/= "goin in"

rappers are so dumb.

you can't come back on the same beat.
thats what i was thinking, this aint no ordinary twitter trend, usually its takes a album, maybe a song but song took over the world with a verse.
After Kanye said "The best living or dead hands down, huh."  Kendrick came back at him and others on the same beat...

what? u just start listening to rap?

thats exactly what ur supposed to do especially with a beat this tough.  if u listening to the lyrics that **** shouldn't even matter to u
Yup.  New rap fan here.

And You can't come back on the same beat because

A. Kendrick already murdered it, so there's a bias towards his verse over yours

and

B.  100 other rappers are hopping on the same exact beat.  You're gonna get lost in the cypher.

If you want to have an effect as strong as what K did then you come back on your own track and you snatch the belt back.

These dudes responding on the Control beat can spit verses that are fine a la Joell, but it won't be the same as the first time you heard Kendrick.  And they won't win.

How many rappers have murdered a dude on their own beat as a rebuttal?

some dude posted this on FB today :rollin

"kendrick has been needing to step his game up since section 80, he's been spitting the same verse for the past 2 years. it's ironic that a song that ask people to step their game up is the softest song ive heard all month."

:lol @ the side convo about Beyonce's weave.

Joe wants no problems with Styles. Lyrically or whatever. Just walk away Budden.

Ortiz's response was dope. But he ain't talk about molly, swag or turning up so this new crowd won't pay attention :lol. His response is even better cuz was with Dre at one point so this can get good.

I doubt it. Song came out yesterday, if dudes really was that eager to respond, they'd be on it quick.  Most of these rappers can't spit like Ortiz so they should just leave it alone.

the range of responses to this whole thing are incredible.

this should show what somebody in here said about rap being to subjective to be a sport. :lol

everyone generally agrees that MJ is the GOAT and if not, he's one of them. it's obvious he was a great player.

rapping not so much...people have some pretty wild opinions man...and they're entitled to them.

with that said. Joell's response was :hat to me as was Kendrick's verse.

Just listened to it...listening to Common - I Used To Love H.E.R. now. Seemed like a fair transition to mellow the mood a bit.

What is it that he needs to step up? Other dudes can rap all day about poppin molly's, havin swag and sh*t, yet Kendrick can't do his own thing? Dude just dropped an album to damn near universal acclaim, I don't see what he needs to step up.

superugly, checkmate off the top of my head.

it aint about who can have the biggest effect or who can cause us internet dweebs to go the most bizerk.  tough bars over a tough beat thats it, the music.  stop overanalyzing it.

my whole thing is just how is it competition all of a sudden when these dudes all feature with each other?

its like kendrick just decided to take his ball and go home
