Crazy to me that this is just happening. What do we need to educate folks? The hood has too much hustlers born out of necessity to not have more independent black owned businesses​.

Gotta remember the point and goal of hustlin' wasn't to start a business but to pay for the things you needed/wanted. We hustlin' to pay for the next bill up not the next generation. We have to start learning and teaching ourselves about the importance of future planning for longer than next summer's move/vacation.

Also, some of these college educated/professional white women aren't trying to be cranking out kids like they did prior to the late 20th century. The "we're" going extinct crowd doesn't like that at all. They hate white women as much as they hate black folks

Earth, the home of Weland Yutani (YW), is a proxy for Europe in the movie. WY (Europe) has knowledge of its origins, hence the logo and has embarked on separate missions in both a Prometheus and Covenant to gain knowledge of its genetic progenitors, master their technology, gather their resources and to usurp them.

In Prometheus, Weyland is secretly aboard the ship and his goal is to become immortal. That symbolism is meant to illustrate Europe is dying off and Weyland wants the secret that the Engineers (original man) have to keeping life going on Earth (Europe).

Vicker's main function is to be a mother to the crew, while David's purpose is to compile the data of the scientists and to crack the code to immortality or the genome of his genetic superiors.

Black women should have the nail shop/beauty supply/hair salon game on lock in 2017 and kicked Asians out a long time ago (no disrespect to any Asian viewers) . Remember the old hair and nail schools back in the day? What did they do with those degrees?

I agree on the nail shop and beauty supply part. Something that should've been dealt with a long time ago. However, hair salons, at least near me are high majority owned by black woman, and see nothing but black employees, because nobody else can work with out hair. Especially with the natural movement in full swing. Relaxer sales to this day are still declining.

I do wish black women would take over the hair and nail shop industry. It won't be easy first because majority of the supply comes from Asia, but you can definitely pay an Asian person to buy for you until you don't need them anymore. Even start looking to work with suppliers in India and even Africa. It'll take a while but can be done.

All the things we like to buy, there a lot of things we should own. Problem is the raw materials to produce them are controlled by the jewish people, chinese and europeans. If Africans would back a hold of the raw materials on their continent there is the raw material supply base you have unrestricted access to.

It's the mentality I believe. But lately, I've been seeing and hearing about a lot of black owned nail salons and beauty salons popping up. Seeing how that's what our women spend a lot of money at, I think that's a good start. Although, it baffles me on why we don't have a chain of barbershops instead of the rundown, hood shops I see.

i have a black hair industry documentary where they ask random patrons of a Chicago asian hair care store if they would shop at a black owned store at a lower price....

they looked in the camera, smiled, and said they would still shop at the asian store.

What's a Covenant? An agreement between man and GOD. THE Covenant are the 10 Commandments or their predecessor, the 42 Laws of Maat, commonly referred to as the 42 Negative Confessions.

In the movie, The Covenant is the ship bound for a new planet to populate. The movie opens with the Covenant (ship) literally being torn and almost destroyed (broken Covenant = broken agreement) waking (an awakening) the adult passengers.

This broken Covenant forces the crew to veer off course and toward their doom. Stopping for a moment to consider white supremacy and Christianity go hand in hand, you have a crew of Earthlings/Europeans breaking their word (the ship) to GOD, which leads to their death.

Well, what was the "sin"? Moving in the direction of their genetic superiors, literally...

I'll stop there for people who haven't seen the movie. Nothing has been spoiled unless you expected people in a horror movie to live. But when does that ever happen?
