Black Culture Discussion Thread

Used to host a radio show in Berkeley that Chronicled black athletes but touched more on the racism they went through in their era.
My producer was like "I'll give you the first subject and then you can pick the rest"
She picked Jack Johnson and the research blew my flippin mind:wow::wow::wow:
My mans was skippin the country with white women, not givin a damn

doing that show and being in that atmosphere made it easy to detach from any previous appreciation i even remotely had for this country

Unpopular opinion: In order for black ppl to be free black ppl have to give up the white man’s God and seek knowledge of self, then, our freedom has to be taken, maintained and enforced by black ppl.

That’s the harsh reality. There is no other way.

I come in peace,

As a student of history, I am curious to see what you think about the Black Native American Theory? I was oppossed to it initially but open to it now. It’s possible they came here in a different timeline as the current native Americans. I liken it to the black pygmies of Asia and Melanesians of the pacific, who came in first to settle the lands but the second wave of Austronesians and Polynesians came after but have no genetic links.

Honestly why should we care about her

On one hand I agree. The monarchy is the most egregious waste of public funds of all time. The idea that there is a Queen with all of these customs, pomp and circumstance is a joke.

That ordeal has however presented an opportunity to discuss racism at that level.

it would be nice to see whoever was making an issue about the potential skin color of the baby be outed and publicly shamed and held accountable.

She better get to doing something about this ASAP.

Should actually be her first act...

Even happens in Canada:
