I haven't had that issue in a while, but it's happened in years gone by in various cities. Like lady, I play sports, I'm taller than you, and I'm not jumping off the sidewalk for you. It's gonna hurt you, it's not gonna hurt me

Couple people found out the hard way. Pain, surprise, but then they look at where we are on the pathway relative to where we should be and just gather themselves and keep moving. I just shake my head. Hasn't happened in years though

Me, my little cousin and mom were at the Orlando outlets a month ago. My cousin, she’s 26 so didn’t know any better, was about to move when we were on the sidewalk with a few approaching.

I said “decades ago, they use to make your people tip their hat, put their head down or walk in the road” so they could pass by. I said don’t ever move for those people.

I don't understand this new generation because we literally use to plan our fits out each day before we came to school.

Like we wanted to be fly each day.

Catch 22 sadly. You dress any old kind of way, they have an excuse. An excuse to deny you the job, the promotion, the project, the grant, the opportunity, the internship, whatever. Problem is, if they don't have that excuse they will 100% look for another excuse. If they ultimately can't find one then you may have a chance, OR, they will just invent an excuse that is non-existent.

So now you're not dressing for yourself, or for whoever the gatekeeper is. You're dressing for the unseen folks who will view the situation as 3rd parties, whether it's an actual review of the decision should it somehow get to that, or the general public, should it get to that.
