Do you not agree that because of the American standards of beauty, that many black women have an inferior sense of self? There's been studies that have shown that little black girls feel that white and light are considered more attractive. And a lot (not all) of the darker skinned women that I have run across have definitely shown jealousy towards light skinned women. Unless you were raised in a household that addressed the issue at an early age, it's easy for women to fall into the same trap. Even when some of these ladies mature and learn that beauty comes in all shades and colors, there's still something in the back of their head telling them that light skin is better. And black men don't help the situation, because we've been fed the same bs as the ladies.
