Just caught the episode. that dude Gyp got issue b :lol Nucky is def a half gangster. Where the hell is Doyle at? I don't think he was w/ the caravan that got hit up. We need more Chalky and Harrow. Slowly waitin for Lucky and Al to come into their own

what did nuck mean when he told rothstein he was dead below the waist?
i don't really know maybe its ed, but im guessing rothstein doesn't get any yambs
Yea, Rothstein was sonnin' Nucky, and Nucky's response was basically "Yeah, well you don't get any yambs"

Rothstein basically said he chooses to be so, instead of running behind showgirls like Nucky does

Does Gillian really think Jimmy is away or is she just denying it? The part where the old dude was saying how the house would get transferred to her when Jimmy is pronounced dead got me thinking she isnt his real mother.
interesting theory
Thats what I thought she was doing.

Creating a narrative she could present to the state/powers that be to show that she had missed jimmy and needed a context to declare him dead.

Luciano, Capone, Meyer Lansky, and Bugsy Siegel could be a great show in itself

Yo i just had a crazy theory

Van Alden and his wife are gonna turn into....

Bonnie and Clyde

Good episode, a bit all over the place with story and characters, but still good. Margaret and the hospital, the brothel, Nuck and Billie, Gyp, Lansky and Bugsy, Van Alden, the Senate hearings, just one too many things at once.

I loved the "twist" of Rothstein trying to double cross Gyp, and of course it failed which will lead to Gyp being Gyp. And we're seeing a young Benny become the maniac Bugsy which has been excellent.

I understand the importance of showing Nucky's family life crumbling and his focus on Billie distracting him from business, but shorten that story up 5 minutes or so and throw it to Chalky or someone else.

Was I the only one that thought Gyp was going to kill the paperboy when he said "this is yesterday's news I thought this was today's paper" I held my breath in that awkward silence before he laughed.

for a second yea, but then I realized that most of those guys dont kill kids.

I know i am way late, but i just realized that the middle man Nucky pays (Gaston Means) is Milton from Office Space. smh.

Possible reach but I took the jab as Rothstein possibly being impotent. Going back to the 1st episode of the season when Billy was dancing, Rothstein implied to the other gangsters that he took down Billy, even throws out her addy and "I'm her landlord." What if he tried, failed and then she pillow talked with Nucky.

lol yep he's been in a lot of stuff, True Blood and Dodgeball
Yeah, when I searched his character's name on the show I came across an article that joked about his mission to be on every cable tv show out now now :lol and he's almost there.

He was also the boss in NewsRadio.

I always figured she just didn't want to go to the morgue and claim his body and was delusional like I mentioned before but this route is interesting.
also..
wassup with billie calling nucky Gus?
I thought it was slang for that time or a reference to some guy name Gus in a play or show unless we gonna find out that's his middle name.

Nice connection :lol I remember that scene with Rothstein which I think was the same ep or the one before where Nuck was all jealous so I thought not only was he hitting it but so were a bunch of other gangsters in NYC.

That's a good possibility since otherwise Nuck's jab would've been an empty one unless something was supporting it.

I was also thinking besides being impotent or to add on to it. Like Lucky he may have caught something to make him that way.

.

Im thinking its just slang for a guy...like "you big brutus" or "hunk" some bs like that

The real Rothstein was celibate, not sure if it was due to impotence, but the way he responded to Nucky seemed like it was his choice
