well i would think he would want as many fans as he can get... just like any other artist.

the last couple of albums he has put out have not gone platinum, he would have to reach more fans, he already got all the ladies, that leaves the guys.

he will be needing more than a "solid" fan base this time for another platinum record.

he has to reach more people to get back to platinum status.
