Calipari to Kentucky.

scherbenske and slone are both walk-ons...and ky kids. I wouldn't think cal would mind keeping them as cheerleaders and end-of-game specialists. Itwouldn't be a good look to get rid of kids from KY.

Mike, that's fire I'll play with any day of the week. And so would anyone in the country. If he can get X as well....%%%%...fire-POWER.

Coach Cal...

I see no reason to believe that that roster and coach has zero chance of winning a title.
LIke you have to win a championship, no excuses in 2 years top

with all these coaching moves its going to be interesting who decommits and what not....kentucky is going to be screwed once calipari's bagage begins tosurface

"I just told the team, 'If you cannot play, come and see me because this isn't the right program because I can't hide you,'" he said.

As for Kentucky's incoming recruits and potential future players, Calipari added:

"If they're good enough to play here and help us win national titles, I want you here," he said of the Kentucky recruits. "If they're not, I'm going to tell them."

Cal coming in ready to hurt feelings and tell it like it is... Good %!+!... Clean that bummy *@+ roster up...

Even if those guys only stay one year, it will create enough hype to lure more top players the following years.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars in incentives for reaching certain milestones, such as a 75 percent graduation rate or better ($50,000), winning the Southeastern Conference ($50,000), winning the SEC tournament ($50,000), making the NCAA tournament round of 16 ($100,000), making the Final Four ($175,000), or winning the national title ($375,000).
see where education ranks on these schools lists nowadays

According to the contract someone posted he gets every payment on top of each other

That news conference about players coming to him if they suck

^ I mean, that's how it should be... even if that is damn near a half-a-mil for winning a title.

I just got off the phone with John Wall and we discussed his recruitment at this time. Here were his comments:

At this point, where are you in your recruitment?

I am considering a lot of schools. My list right now is Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, Baylor, NC State and Miami. I havent really cut the list right now.

There was a report by Bob Gibbons that Kentucky is your leader at this point….would you say that is the case?

No, I wouldnt say that right now. I really like Kentucky and it is a good school and I really like the new Coach. But I dont have any leader.

Are you going to visit Kentucky?

I am not sure. I have already been there on an unofficial visit so I know what the school is like and I dont think much has changed.

Have you spoken with Coach Calipari since he took the new job?

No, I havent. He called me the night before he took it to tell me he was going to take it. I have talked to a couple of the assistants and they just tell me that they want me to go there and that they were moving.

What is it you like about Kentucky?

It is just a great school. They have so much tradition there and the fans love basketball. You cant not like that place.

What do you like about Coach Calipari?

I just like the way he teaches and the way he coaches the game. He lets the players play and do their thing on the court. Plus he gets you ready for the next level, whether you are there for one, two or three years or whatever. At the end of games and throughout he lets players make plays and I like that.

Do you know any of the guys committed to Kentucky like Daniel Orton or Jon Hood?

Yeah I know them a little bit. I talked to Jon Hood this week and he is trying to get me to go there. They are good players.

When will you have a decision?

My goal was to try to have it made by April 18. That is still what I am planning on but now I might wait. I honestly dont know

Cause 2011 talent level takes a dump on 2009, and I can already see him gettin 3 top 10 kids.
