No one is seriously saying Wayne's career is over. People are saying that in generalization with the 50 argument..

People were saying 50's career was over... So in the same breath Lil Wayne's career is over also..

No one should logically say either is over because both of them are in the top 5 of most influential rapper out currently (Jay, 50, Kanye, Wayne, T.I.)

Stop making excuses for Lil Wayne when you wouldn't take an excuse for 50 Cent..

I don't care if it is rock. You put something out it is to your name. And currently what 50 has put out this year in terms of Album is better than Lil Wayne. It is like saying well Pepsi is the %%** but Crystal Pepsi tanked give them a pass because they tried something different.

What you do is forever linked to you. So if you release an awful album no matter what genre it is. It is still YOUR ALBUM..

[50 Cent]Jus a lil biiiit [/50 Cent]

But come on regardless of genre, 170K is NOT a success... 50s R&B albums did BETTER than that...

and it still outsold 50s rap album... thats all im sayin...

im not a fan of either of them dudes... the bias yall show is crazy...

u would think harlem on the rise was little marquise

I don't have ANYthing in the world against Weezy...

I'm just going by yours and others on NTs philosophy of if you go from selling a million in a week to 160K your career is OVER... And as I predicted, another HUGE rapper dealt with a leak and didn't sell what was expected and EVERY excuse in the book comes out... "its a ROCK album" this and that... Its a LIL WAYNE album... If it sold a million in a week you guys wouldn't write it off as "oh its a ROCK album" it doesn't count, but the fact that he caught a brick yall wanna use that as a defense as if ANYone MADE him put togeather a rock album... He wasn't forced, he and his label thought it was gonna fly off the shelves but it NEVER caught a buzz, got pushed back about a year and some change and came out and did 170K a week or so after performing on the BIGGEST music award show in the world...

All I'm sayin is atleast be consistant with your BS logic, don't pick and choose who or what it applies to...

how much does lil waynes engineers aka (evil empire) get paid to leak his albums
nerd.gif
i bet its around the same amount of units he sold

Same here. And I got the album. Just ain't listened to it. I heard Prom Queen and On Fire because those are the singles. And my first time hearing that song with Em was on the Grammy's. Crazy. Just don't have that urge. Might have to wait until I see one more video or single to know whether i'm gonna listen to it.

Personally, I think its a little different with this situation than 50's. 50 just doesn't seem to have that grip he use to have on the game. Whether his music is good or not, he's not outselling anyone anymore. Its ironic considering the fact that he'd make it seem that if you didn't sell, your music wasn't good enough. As for Wayne situation, this was technically a rock album, so it attracted a lot less of his Carter fans. When 'Tha Cart IV' drops, I'm pretty sure dude is going to sell a ton of records once again.

I can dig waynes steez, but after giving this record a spin. I played frisbee with my neighbors pups.

You act as if someone FORCED Lil Wayne/Cash Money to release that GARBAGE...

He willingly got in the booth and made that **@%... Under the assumption that it would do #s, but it didn't...

So how is it NOT a failure?? Cause it's not "Rap"??

Regardless of genre, its  a Lil Wayne album... Is it not??

kanye was judged on his 808's album..so its only fair lil wayne is judge on this basura.

who said he thought it would do numbers? u just speculating now... i dont think wayne cares about record sales as much as 50 does...

its not a failure cuz nobody was expecting it to sell... plus wayne dont run around screaming about how he sold more records than everybody...

u b tryin so hard to discredit anybody that aint 50 or prodigy (both wack as *+$@)...

at the end of the day wayne sold more than 50 wit a rock album... u and ur stannishness still lose...

i dont even see ur point... people clowned 50 for his numbers now u gotta try and clown somebody to make u feel better for being a 50 cent fan? i dont get it...

and ur logic is flawed... u always leavin some %%+# out or making up a fact to support ur weak *$! arguements...

Then why not release it for FREE like his other 1,000 mixtapes?? I mean ANYthing that goes on a stores shelves is expected to sell to SOME degree...

With all due respect to Lil Wayne, he's prolly sold about 1/4 the amount of 50 Cent, so it prolly wouldn't be wise for him to do so...

You forgot Biggie...

I'm sure Cleveland has pathetic schools (but I'm quite sure you would be an idiot regardless of where you received your schooling) but the last time I checked BISD scanned more units than Rebirth, so I don't know where you conclude the fact that he sold more than 50 with a "ROCK" album...

First week yes, but the rest remains to be seen...

I don't have ANYthing in the world against Lil Wayne... I hope he sells as many records as he possibly can.

I just wanted to know ONE thing, does that SAME logic apply to other artists?? Because I remember you and a few others having some type of field day as if 50's failure was gonna get you your next handjob... And now you're gettin all bent out of shape because you refuse to see yourself for the FOOL you truly are...

and ur logic is flawed... u always leavin some %%+# out or making up a fact to support ur weak *$! arguements...
My logic isn't flawed... Its IMPOSSIBLE to "make up a fact"
