The Phoenix, the name of the capsule that rescued the miners. One could say they rose from ash like the phoenix, born again.

The number 13 (important occult number as well).

I'm not the best versed in this subject, just an inquisitive, curious mind.

To be honest, I only noticed this when CNN kept emphasizing the fact that there were 33 miners, the capsule's name "Fenix"/ (Phoenix), and that many miners were "born again".

Hopefully others can provide some better insight ...
