No way around it, Carr is getting paid. But I think history has shown us that QB's that demand that $20+M usually don't have that great of a supporting cast and it definitely hurts the team.

Look at the top 5 paid qb's from last year:
  • Colts QB Andrew Luck: $24.6 million.
  • Saints QB Drew Brees: $24.3 million.
  • Ravens QB Joe Flacco: $22.1 million.
  • Packers QB Aaron Rodgers: $22 million.
  • Seahawks QB Russell Wilson: $21.9 million.
Carr is coming from this with a different set of eyes given he's seen David struggle with a horrible supporting cast.

I'm just saying, is Carr willing to take $15M a season or will he demand the max of like $25M +? I ain't mad at him either way, I'm just curious how he'll go about this because he strikes me as the type that would want longevity and winning over big pay days...

15M would be a HUGE cut and no way do the Raiders ask him to consider that. If anything I would think whatever you could get him to accept under $25M would be a win for the team.

IDK man. I look at that list of highest paid QB's and each of those guys have won a SB with the exception of Andrew Luck.

I think Carr will fall in the $18-20M a year, probably some easy incentives and a nice signing bonus.

On the flip side, if you ask AJPlatinum he'll just tell you to cut his ***

Officially re-upped for another season. I don't know if I'll do it again next year if Mark has another big price increase.

AP will  may or may not be in Oakland come September.

$18 million is a lot. We kinda need money thrown at the defense and future builds behind the o-line.

Poe won't go back to Kansas City. His market will be hot, so I don't know that Reggie will want to compete with the big money needed for him.

I'll root for him but I'm against paying 30+ year old RBs. Even if they are all time greats. Especially with the money that's he's gunna ask for. Feel like resources can be allocated better than that. AP has been trash or injured for 2 years now.

New England didn't tag Hightower

Yes to everything. Let me ask you a question. Do you believe in cycles?

U mean do I think AP has another run in him? Honestly I'm not sure. With our OL, anything is possible. I just don't know if I believe that for the running back position. Feel like once u fall off as a running back, that's it. There's not many redemption years for 30+ year old RBs. Dangelo Williams is the only one I can think of in the last 5 years.

No way to big money for AP, I'd rather have Latavius back at the league mininum if that's the case
