What does he gain by getting his foot in the door as a minority owner (other than flipping it later for profit)?
What does he have to lose?
Probably acceptance. Lacob knows he's trying to get the team to Seattle what does that ownership group gain by adding him?

and what does Hansen gain by getting his foot in the door? honest question

You don't think Ranadive being a minority owner for about ten minutes didn't help his prospects as a potential majority owner down the line?

Vivek on timeline: Our lawyers (Maloofs' and Vivek's) have been talking for some time. We believe we can get this done very quickly.

KJ on Maloofs not selling/deal falling apart: "I don't think so."

Vivek on escrow: We were told to put it into escrow yesterday, so we put it into escrow yesterday.

Of course it helped, but what Vivek did and Hansen is trying to do are different.

I don't see how adding Hansen as a placeholder-minority owner helps his chances of relocating a franchise down the road.

Granted, I think Bennett was a minority owner with the Spurs before purchasing the Sonics but I don't think he was known as a minority own looking to bring a team to OKC at the time he became a minority owner with the Spurs.

So I'm guessing Vivek is gonna match $625m?
The newest #NBAKings investor is Raj Bhathal, of RAJ Manufacturing, and an unsuccessful bidder for N.O. Hornets in 2012.

cant wait to get the maloofs out, i pray i see one waking down northgate one day
The way the Maloofs handle their money, there is a good chance of them losing everything and transition to begging on Northgate. Tough thing for them is they are not smarter than the average Sacramento hobo so they won't even be good at that.

So the heights of the Kings success were accomplished during the Maloofs reign. Yall have no love for Maloofs?
Nah not really. Bringing in Vlade, drafting Peja, trading for Webber, having Petrie as GM for sooooo many years.... that was mainly Jim Thomas before he sold to the Maloofs.

Hell I've posted articles in this thread about the Maloofs trying to move this team since 1998

were they cool, supportive, fan friendly owners when they were enjoying success? Yes.

Did they ever truly embrace Sacramento? Hell ******g no.

I appreciate them for what they've done.

But hate them for everything they stand for and what they've put us thru since 2006.

The Maloofs are the aggressors in this transaction?

I thought Georgie boy said he had to consult Hansen first, talk with his family, drink zing vodka, fail another development, sell the last 2% of the palms, appeal for relocation, declare the team as not for sale, and then negotiate with the Sacramento group (who didn't step up?)

Watch maloofs mess this up too lol

Next tweet will be maloofs stall ask for 800 million lol
