We should have all our picks next year but I'm seeing we gave up a pick for Flynn it's conditional. I hope the conditions are him not being on the team.

We will have the most money to spend for the next 2 year.  It's going to be interesting to see Reggie go on a real shopping spree.

McKenzie is fine.

I know the "pressure" is officially on but the team would have literally regress for McKenzie to be fired at the end of the season.

It's DA who's facing the fire. He needs to demonstrate that he knows how to utilize Von Miller 2.0 and the rest of the players that are markedly better than what he had previously. A competitive Raider team in 2014 (meaning 7-9 and above and/or being VERY competitive in almost every game played) is what keeps him at the helm of this ship.

Reggie's work has been somewhat amazing to watch. He tamed the salary cap and has given the team maneuverability it has never had under Al Davis. We can argue about whether or not his draft work has been consistent, but keep in mind that he begins his career here without a first OR second rounder and his picks from those rounds last year under-performed (as you would expect from a CB and a work in progress OL). Let those two recover from their bad seasons and round to form and suddenly the 2013 class looks very good. Add in what we all expect (as well as non Raider fans) to be a strong 2014 class and suddenly it's two solid classes paired with a great off-season in terms of adding serious talent. This becomes the team that McKenzie and Allen were hoping for when they got here: strong on the lines, pounding defense and consistent running game.

Love having the cap flexibility. We still have to prove that this is a desirable place to play despite our outdated facility.

Early post-draft roster predictions:

Alright, I assume there will be like 3-4 injuries during training camp that shake things up but this is how I see it as of today:

QB (3): Schaub/Carr/McGloin
RB (3): DMC/MJD/Murray
FB (2): Reece/Olawale
WR (5): Streater/Jones/Moore/Holmes/Butler
TE (3): Rivera/Kasa/Ausberry

OL: 9 players

LT: Penn/Barnes
LG: Jackson/Boothe
C: Wiznieski
RG: Howard/Mady
RT: Watson/McCants

That's 25 players on offense.

QB/RB/FB: These are pretty obvious barring any significant injuries. Would like to keep 2 QBs so we could have 6 WRs, but I think they value McGloin too much to cut him.

WR: I really want 6 WRs but can't decide which other position to cut a player, it's frustrating
Streater/Jones/Moore/Holmes are guaranteed imo. The 5th (and maybe 6th) spot is a tossup among Brice Butler, Juron Criner, Greg Jenkins (has higher chance to make roster b/c of his special team returning, namely kick returns), Mike Davis & any other UFDA Wide Receivers. We'll see if only 1 or 2 of these WRs make the final squad.

TE: Don't see us only going into the season with anything less than 3 TEs.

OL: Boothe can be used as a backup G/C. I would only keep 9 OL tops so I believe Nix & Bergstrom will get cut. Mady & McCants are both young with potential. Boothe and Barnes as the veteran backups.

Defense:
DE (4): Tuck/Woodley/Wilson/(Crawford of Harris)
DT (4): Smith/Sims/Ellis/McGee
LB (7): Mack/Moore/Roach/Burnett/Burris/Maiava/(Burnett or Fields)
CB (6): Brown/Hayden/Rodgers/McGill/Carrie/Jones
S (4): Branch/Woodson/Young/(Ross or Dowling)

That's 25 players
It's all a numbers game.
Possible combinations:
DL (8 ) + LB (7) + CB (6) + S (4) or
DL (8 ) + LB (6) + CB (7) + S (4) or
DL (8 ) + LB (6) + CB (6) + S (5) or maybe even
DL (8 ) + LB (6) + CB (6) + S (4) and keep 6 WRs

DE: either 4 or 5, but remember some of the OLBs will be lined up with their hands on the ground so we might only need 4. That means goodbye to one of Crawford or Harris.

DT: We're set here. Sims will be gone next year and Ellis will take his spot. Expect a lot of rotation this season, also we could see Smith go outside on pass plays... Have Smith play end on 3-4 formations w/ Sims or Ellis at the nose.

LB: Mack/Moore/Roach/Woodley should be the 4 LBs for 3-4 formations, those 4 have guaranteed spots. Burris/Maiava/KaelinBurnett are young depth, think we keep 2 of them. Hopefully UDFA Fields can make an impact. Could see us going with 6 players here and add 1 more to the secondary but I think it will ultimately be 7 players @ LB.
PS: I like Roach, but we really need our MLB of the future next year in the draft.

CB: Hayden/McGill/Brown/Rodgers are locks. Jones will probably make the squad for his ST abilities as a gunner, Carrie could make the squad as a developmental CB and as our starting PR. That's 6. Chekwa & Casey are wildcards here, no telling how much they have improved over the summer so we'll just have to wait and see if one of Casey/Chekwa forces his way on the team.

S: We should go 4 here. Branch/Woodson/Young are guaranteed while Ross & Dowling should fight for the 4th spot. Wouldn't surprise me if we went 6 CBs and 5 Safetys tho.

Special Teams:

LS: Condo
P: King
K: Janikowski

That's 3 players for a total of 53.

all these UDFAs & 7th round picks are possibilities for the Practice Squad as well, I won't get into that.
Also remember we're gunna have some unfortunate injuries in Training Camp/Preason, it's inevitable. We can pick up players off other teams' 53 man roster cuts too (looking at you, San Francisco).
