I hope people do boycott en masse though. Even just one season to teach them a lesson like Papa Johns. You backed the wrong horse and that dog whistle **** shouldn't be tolerated.

That Sterling Brown video is ugly. Same ol racist BS. 8 total cops for a parking ticket. We NEED to understand that this is a straight up war on black people. There's no other way to put it. This is why regular white people call the cops on us. They know what cops are really here to do.
Man I fear so much for my nephew who's a tall athletic, fly, intelligent black kid. And that's crazy to think about.

Man one weekend would cost millions for the nfl. So many loopholes too. Claim an injury, illness, claim family problems, SOMETHING. Idiots too dumb to think. “But wa about da super bowl?”

Because the NFLPA are a bunch of weak sorry clowns. They should have sued for guaranteed contracts during the last CBA but they let the owners take them to the cleaners. NFLPA and the owners, big reasons the NFL is modern day plantation.

I agree except I will say that the strength of any labor union is in the resolve of its members. The NFLPA is weak because the players don't have any resolve. Leading up to the lockout the NFLPA advised the players to save and plan for a long layoff. Most of the players were on that "I'm just here to play ball" and didn't heed the warning. As the lockout got intense these same players told the NFLPA to take the deal because they didn't want to lose money. Hard to fight for guaranteed contracts or other things when most if your members fold like a cheap chair as soon as they start missing checks.

I'll say players don't have to do anything they feel jeopardizes their jobs, but they atleast have responsibility to take they riches they have now to try and build generational wealth and power.

Land of the free though. I hope that everyone does their part to improve society and these players have obviously got a lot more resources to do good - but in a free society they can blow it all on strippers and coke if they so choose.

Just because they’re paid for entertaining us doesn’t mean we get to control what they do and how they behave.

And the flip side of that is that with that freedom comes the freedom to also not stand for the anthem. You can’t have it both ways.

If we start to ignore that then we’re as bad as North Korea and the other places that the US has been criticising for decades.

The problem is what actually jeopardizes their job is a non problem.

A white person in that situation gets a casual warning at worst. Most likely they get ignored by the cops. Sterling was technically illegally parked but it was 1 AM, the lot was completely empty, the car was on, and someone was in the passenger seat that could probably move the car if necessary.

and white people talk all kinds of **** to police "**** you pal" "how dare you" and walk away untouched.

A white person can shoot up a school and get treated better than Sterling did.

The point was that well to do black men help build wealth and power for future generations if they can because that's clearly where the influence lies. No one dictated or tried to impress socialist ideals.

What the players should do is kneel after every touchdown.

All of them.

For the entire season.

Whoever fancies a spicy fine can find where the flag pole is in the arena and kneel in front of it after scoring.

Or wear something visible that says "two weights, two measures" during the game/warm-ups.

Or stand with their back facing the flag.

There are a lot of ways to protest during the duration of the game...

What they shouldn't do is stay silent.

Like I alluded in the Black culture thread, you need political power to maintain wealth and influence across generations. I would argue that it is where well-to-do athletes should invest if they care about the Black community. We are currently seeing, in 2018, how laws are being designed to punish certain demographics and reward others on the implicit basis of their racial identity.

More athletes should be like Kaepernick, or at least fund pro-Black lobbies.

I’m saying. You set your family up with however much money you want and a cop blows their head off.

Dak finished his degree. He’s just lost.

Going to the KC home opener. May kneel in the stands.

Wouldn't do it. You know there will be some military lunatic in those same stands chomping at the bit to lunge at someone demonstrating. I wouldn't even subject yourself to it.

They'll stay silent. Most of these dudes are from West Bubba**** Mississippi. Many of these cats come from nothing and were raised in poverty. Dudes got a couple bucks to buy grills and chains and cribs and dont want to risk their paper. They're just happy to be out of the hood. Plus their agents are gonna advise them to stay out of politics. We saw with the last few years, it was only a very small percentage of players who actually took a knee and protested for an extended period of time. Some half way protested but the majority of players stood with their hand over their heart s singing the White man's racist anthem. These dudes are performing for the White gaze. Most fans don't care about these players they just want to see Negroes perform on the field for them. CTE is a real issue but the league hasn't done much because they dont care. They figure the league is dominated by Negroes so why should we care about their health their only thugs and criminals who make us billions.
