I'm not saying these guys are better than Collison, but here's a few people you'll probably get...
Ty Lawson
Tyrese Rice
Jeremy Pargo
Stephen Curry
Levance Fields
AJ Price
Chris Lowe

And a few of my personal picks (again, not saying these guys are necessarily better than Collison, but they should be considered)
Trevon Hughes
Kalin Lucas
Chris Warren
@*$ Smith
Curtis Jerrells

And I'll throw in JRain's pick since you don't see him come in here

yes he is. point blank. prove me wrong. he was even the best all around pg last year. i was hoping he left last year so he could show what he could do (scoring wise) in workouts. he is unselfish and it hurts him. he could have avg 20 a game last season if he had that type of attitude, but when you got a lowpost threat like k love you give him the rock. he can score 30+ on any pg you can list and then lock them up on the other end. again other than steph curry hehas been the most clutch player in the country. youtube darren collison say no. look it up. hes not playing against bums neither.

one game? you serious bro? name one pg other than him who actually played d last year. again he was the second leader scorer on the team 15ppg shot 48% fromthe floor and 52% from the 3. if you didnt watch him play much other than 1 or 2 games in the tourney, then thats coo. then thats all you got to say. but onegame? come more correct than that homie.

I am not a Collinson fan but he is better than Flynn. Flynn is a supreb scorer but as a true point guard, Collinson>Flynn.

I cant prove you wrong. You cant prove me wrong. Unless they meet up in the tourney ( If the Cuse can make it in). I like Flynn though. I just dont thinkhe is a better player than Darren.

Cause that statement is so outlandish that's all that needs to be said.

He absolutely was not better than DJ or Rose in any way, shape or form the past year.

Whether he was better than AJ Price, Ty Rice, Jamont Gordon, Sean Singletary or Devan Downey is also HIGHLY debatable.

But I thought he was the most clutch player in all of college basketball yet didn't show up against Memphis and got OUTPLAYED by Rose. Don't call someone clutch when they don't show up in the final four in the biggest game of the season.

What sucks is that I like Collison but your cocky rant is going to make me not like dude this upcoming season.

Downey is arguably one of the best defensive guards in the nation. Dude led the nation in steals last year...

Outlandish?

Rose, DJ and Darren were the top 3 pgs last year. I choosemy words wisely and when I say "all around" that means exactly that. Let me ask you what does all around mean to you? Because it can mean somethingentirely different from what it means to me.

RM there is nothing cocky about my "rant" . So your telling me 1 game discredits what he has done in his collegiate career? Yes, that was a crucialgame and he came out and got himself in foul trouble and when that happened it was over for UCLA. There is no excuse for that, but does that not make himclutch?

I made my statement and I stand by it. All I can say is just watch UCLA next season. A lot of dudes on here got that east coast bias.

Ill make another statement Austin Daye might be the best player in college.

Seriously?

Lavender, Downey, Hughes, and Chalmers for starters.

The only that could be in this discussion. Your right on those though

how you gonna say Downey and not Bradley...check the SEC all defensive team, see who's there and who's not.

but where did you see where Liggins was "officially eligible" cuz i haven't seen anything...

Bradley is another one. I dont mention them though ( shouldve mentioned Mario ) because they werent considered the top pg's

he wasn't even in the discussion for top 3-4 freshman on the west coast last year.

no its not. DC was not his best last year but he stillbetter then most on that list. He locks up,has a outside shot and can play the true PG role for a team.

Rose ate his *%# up for Breakfest tho. %#%!#%* BH refused to put westbrook on him
tired.gif

and DC was not a top 3 PG LAST YEAR

Collison's stat lines from UCLA's losses last year are all horrendous.

And I'm sorry, to be the best PG in the nation, you should probably have an assist to turnover ratio that is better than 1.72 or whatever Collison'sis.

Man OJ is not a pg. There is a reason why Austin is being compared to KD. The difference is that killer mentality and he doesnt shoot as good from the 3,but his handles are way better.

OJ didn't handle PG duties last year for USC???

There is a reason why Austin is being compared to KD.
Cause he's tall and skinny and can dribble.
The difference is that killer mentality and he doesnt shoot as good from the 3, but his handles are way better.
Just so happens that those are two very important things. Boy ain't even in KD's league. Not even close.

Daye isn't even the best player on his team.

You didn't answer my question. If he's so clutch then why did he get BODIED by a freshman PG in the national semi's? I meanoffensively AND defensively, the best all around PG in the country couldn't keep up with an 18 year old. Obviously, Rose ain't no slouch and IMO wasthe 2nd best PG last year (DJ was my #1) but if you gonna make such strong claims then Collison should be puttin' the shackles on everybody he playsagainst and should never have a game like he did against Memphis, and for the last third of the season I should say.
