Convince a Mac hater to buy one

I just copped a mac this week and i'm loving it. everything just runs so much smoother. takes some time to get used to the command keys but once you do you'll never wanna go back to p.c. again.

I was planning on getting a PC, but can be convinced otherwise.

I know most of NT has Mac's and used to be PC users. What do you/don't you like about it? How smooth is the transition?

I don't do cpu intensive stuff. Internet surfing, skyping, downloading movies/music etc, streaming stuff, occasional gaming (which I have a desktop PC for),

Thanks

Stay with PC.

I went from a pc to a mac. Ive always said "I DONT NEED A MAC. WHY SPEND THE CASH". After 3 days of use, I fell in love. The machine is so fast. You seriously log on and once its

logged in, you're ready to use every single application. No need to wait for stuff to load. No need to wait for spysweeper to do its thang. Also like when you close the lid and reopen

it, again everything is ready to go with the quickness. I havent used all the features yet but Im getting there. You get so used to that mouse pad too. Love the 2 finger scroll. If you

have the cash then buy it.. You will not regreat it. Trust me. I still have my pc, and my WINDOWS VISTA just took a dump. Ive already spent 100 to fix it and it still dont work. Im glad

my machine is under warranty for another year. ACCIDENTAL WARRANTY TOO..

The transition is quite easy. I learned how to use my Mac in under 5 seconds.
My main problem with them is that they're overpriced. $1,200 for Core 2 Duos...

It's gonna be hard to find things that are compatible for Macs, as 99% of stuff are for PCs, but if you look around, you can manage to find what you need. You mentioned gaming, and I will tell you it was a pain being able to find emulators that work on my Mac, and not many games are compatible for Mac.
Oh yes, the thing about Macs not getting viruses, that is a myth. They still get viruses. Not much, but they do get viruses.
Que?! So which one do you like?

i'm gonna disagree.

i've had my mac for 4 years and i can do more on my mac than i can on a PC. i do it efficiently, no freezing/crashing, random restarts or virus'.

yes mac's get virus', but as soon as one is released, apple releases a security update and you can't really get infected.

also, as for finding things compatible with mac? we're in 2010, EVERYTHING is compatible. mice, keyboards, printers, scanners, you name it...

if your considering a mac get it, if the price sets you off dont get. The quality build alone is worth it, any laptop you get will be cheap atheistically. Also dont worry about windows app you can run both windows and OSX on a mac. Also apple retains value.

to the OP, if you wanna save money, take a look at the refurb store. you can't even tell the macs are refurbs, they go through more testing than the ones that come off the line and get thrown into a box.
