"Days of Future Past" - New X-Men Movie Release Date (First Class Sequel)

X3 was the most disappointing comic book movie for me ever.

As far as how excited I was vs how terrible it was.

I'm just wondering how they will fit the old characters in this movie. I don't expect them to be a major part at all but don't want it to be a throwaway fit.

Whoever cut that teaser trailer was a genius. The ominous music, voice over from Patrick Stewart and the quick cuts really threw me off. Revisiting that trailer after the release of the film, it's funny that so many of action scenes were from the Danger Room sequence.

But I digress, I have faith in this film. Singer is a more than competent director and I have faith in him.

Seems like there is an understanding that this movie will reset the whole XMen movie-verse.

Marsden himself said that he can't be part of DoFP but he hopes that he will somehow fit in for the Apocalypse film. So either that is a pre-cursor to something that he may know as an insider, take it with a grain of salt but for the most part, this film really is meant to combine everything and make it a linear story/timeline and they can plan and make everything fit together for all future X-films.

i agree that this is the movie that resets the movie franchise.

the apocalypse takes place in different times. technically they can introduce anyone that has 'died'.

Why did they make their movies so Wolverine centric? They would've did themselves a favor if they gave other characters shine and also not making Cyclops a vagina.

Because hate him or love him, he is the most famous of all XMens out there.

I mean look at the reaction of his cameo in the First Class and people going nuts at the idea of him and Spidey making a cameo in the Avengers. Main complaint has really been Jackman but it is just basically the hate just speaks louder than those who are perfectly fine with him as Wolverine.

That 1st Class cameo was good for a chuckle but people overreact for that few seconds of airtime. They have a lot of cool characters on that team. Surprised they just didn't call the movies Wolverine and the Xmen. They haven't done anything with Colossus, Gambit or Psylocke. They powered down Rogue which is lame. They should at least show Angel transform into Archangel if they're going to do an Apocalypse storyline. I just hate when they focus on just one person of a team and he's not even the leader.

I don't think they really powered down Rogue, she just hasn't absorbed Ms Marvels power yet which really makes her powerful. Not even sure if they have the rights for Ms Marvel but without that, she really is left with what she is now in the movies.

And that is also why Whedon got plenty of praise for the Avengers, it isn't easy to make an ensemble team and make everyone relevant. In theory, Singers job should be easier because they already a team but it was still a very good try consider it is the first ever crack at it.

I still think they need to stick to comic books more and just use know characters. I mean why the hell do they have all those unknowns in Last Stand when they have so many character to choose from?

Let's not even get into rouge :{ the in your face sassy southern bell was turned into a vomit inducing emo chick. As far as powers go I agree (even though it's against the time line) she hasn't become powerful yet.

Haha kinda.

Rouge is supposed to be a hey bale throwing, cornbread eating farm girl...... Instead we get a pencil thin tween. Could they at least not of tried to cast someone similar? Lol. It's as if they never picked up a comic EVER
