"Days of Future Past" - New X-Men Movie Release Date (First Class Sequel)

Word. I thought First class was a reboot. They trying to unite all movies. As far as I'm concerned the Wolverine #6

Still sounds alright to me. Ya'll can't comprehend multiple stories going on in the same movie? Ya'll probably like it simple like MOS.

It's all speculation right now so you DC fanboys need to pull up your breeches.

This is DOFP we're talking about. Time-travel, and timelines, and mutants galore. The **** did you expect. Did you guys ever read the arc?

Stryker is also gonna have like what....20 min air time? I can get over that. Kitty Pryde having time traveling powers is super weird to me and I hope that part isn't true.

Nah i'm saying you simple. DOFP is one of the best stories every told in comic books and it set the stage for a slew of storylines after it.

Deal with it.

1000

You act like Singer is going to stick to the comic book. :lol It might be one of the best arcs but if Singer takes his own liberties and change things up, like Wolverine the one traveling through time and it is from Kitty Prides power... Come on now, that is already straying so far away from the comic.

Ain't nothing to do with DC fanboys here, one of the few here who defends the X1 & X2 films and I actually liked it and thinks it stands the test of time. I am also looking forward to the Wolverine but so far, this film is sounding like crap already. I want this film to succeed because I want the franchise to live on but I am not liking what I am seeing right now.

who's to say she doesn't walk him through a wall into a time machine or something? I don't know, but it does sound like there's a bit too much going on, on top of it not staying, at least, semi-true to the comic. Shall be watched, though.

Because the plot says something happens to Kitty in the time-travel trance while Wolverine is under her spell so it can't be just her walking her through the time machine and needing to walk her out. It just makes no sense if there is no exit out of the time-machine other than Kitty Pride phasing through it.

Disney just buy the franchise back PLEASE

Disney hopes it was that easy. Fox needs to stop making films for them like the Daredevil franchise going back to Marvel this year. They also got Punisher, Blade and Ghost Rider back. So it pretty much needs to flops horribly or simply lose interest before going back.

The storyline alternates between present day, in which the X-Men fight Mystique's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and a future timeline caused by the X-Men's failure to prevent the Brotherhood from assassinating Senator Robert Kelly. In this future universe, Sentinels rule the United States, and mutants live in internment camps. The present-day X-Men are forewarned of the possible future by a future version of their teammate Kitty Pryde, whose mind traveled back in time and possessed her younger self to warn the X-Men. She succeeds in her mission and returns to the future, but despite her success, the future timeline still exists as an alternative timeline rather than as the actual future. (The Official Handbook to the Marvel Universe: Alternate Universes 2005 gave the numerical designation of "Days of Future Past" Earth as Earth-811).

I'm probably in the minority and have a stack of X-men comics and full card sets at my parents' house from the 90s, including the X-tinction agenda era issues and crossovers, but I enjoyed First Class and am hoping this is just as good or better. :\

I do wish Marvel had all of their properties back under Marvel films, but that will take a boatload of cash and some royalty deals I'm sure.

I'll come in to this open minded as usual. Some of these rumors and descriptions seem to be badly/wrongly worded. Wolverine being under some spell by Kitty doesn't makes any sense even with how little focus her powers got in X2 or X3.

Plus the entire plot being save Wolverine from the past is not a movie, especially when it's an era he's already lived in. That plot has nothing to do with DOFP. So I expect current rumors to be wrong or not the entire plot. I always felt if ppl time traveled in this and not just Kitty there'd be more than one x-man going.

Seems like despite First Class (except those who thought that sucked too) a lot of y'all want this to fail or think it will cuz of the scraps being leaked to the Internet and Singer being involved.

I'm not the most hyped for this but I'm not dreading its release.

Yeah and that is already different from:

Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page) "uses her powers to send Hugh Jackman's Wolverine back into the past, where he encounters the younger mutants played by James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, and Michael Fassbender. However, something bad happens to Kitty during the time-travel trance, and while Wolverine is still under her spell, the other X-Men must race to find a mutant who can siphon Kitty's powers and bring their friend back to the future."

To be honest, one of the best things about 1st Class was the exclusion of Wolverine from the film and now everything is centered on him again. This will technically be a 6th Wolverine film now. And at this point, I really do not trust Singer to pull it off with these many characters in one film.

Seems like they're trying to fit as much as possible into this one film. These writers and editors would barely pass a college writing class with all the inconsistencies and stuff that doesn't make sense. The people who did the cartoons did a better job with storylines.

I don't think people want the film to fail, everyone just sees the inconsistency in connecting all this films together. I do also feel it will feel like a cheap cop out to simply say "it is an alternate universe so it should make sense" when in essence, Wolverine should just be returning in time of the same universe. Now the end result of his participation in the past could lead to an alternate universe but there should still be consistency.

Edit: I'd actually love to see this as a 2-part film, a story like this shouldn't be rushed especially with some back and forths in time and with these many characters involved.

and people still have hopes for marvel. you hear this trash (script outline) and still bump money into it. no wonder they keep coming out with trash.

There's always the "or" part of my post if you want to disagree with the first part but looking at the post after yours I can't really say your right in that view :lol

You sound like typical hater too dumb to realize that Marvel studios don't own the X-Men movie rights and have nothing to do with the making of this movie and that it's FOX that does.

But please continue, can't wait to see your posts in the Spider-Man thread :{ :lol

yup, i'm the typical hater. i know that it's different. but you fail to realize that's all the same. the just mash things together because they people will see either way, just label it MARVEL and people will flock. that's how they do it, and people continue to fall for it. that's more tragic than it is funny.

So ppl are stupid since they can't discern which studio makes which movie cuz those studios are trying to make the most money by making sure to put the Marvel label before the movies start so its okay for you to be just as stupid or better yet purposefully ignorant since you're aware of the misinformation you're perpetrating.

You really don't seem any different from the ppl in that "tragic" situation you're lamenting.

Yeah, like I said typical hater. Look forward to you spewing more regurgitated hate when ASM2 comes out.

people are sheep because they keep their hopes high. even though marvel/fox whatever it may be comes out with plot twists that pertain nothing to the OG comics. actually, i'm different, because i actually boycott the movies, you continue to spend your money on trash. but hey man, if that makes you happy be you.

So your plan is just to spew hate and think you're informing others or is this just you venting about this cuz your mad? You seem to obviously care too much about this.

Also why are you assuming I'm going to these movies and coming out thinking they're trash. Your opinion is merely your opinion and not even coherently thought out at that.

I mean seriously, how tragic is it is for you that you'd even waste posts complaining about ppl who go see these movies and the movies themselves while maintaining a certain level of ignorance so that ppl would even pay attention to what you post?

If you think they suck and will continue to suck don't watch them. What I eat don't make you ****.

it's just funny to me...it's the same in every thread. people build themselves up. get disappointment but still manage to swallow the pill and accept trash and be 'satisfied' i honestly believe most people who enjoy these movies now a days were never fans of marvel from 5 years old.

but hey it's all good. i'll just read the plot then decide whether or not it's worth watching instead of just jumping ship
