Funny or tragic it's not that important. They're just movies.

If you wanna be one of those comic fanboys raging cuz the movie is not exactly like the comics go ahead but they're not making these movies for comics fans just so you know. It's for movie goers. If they did do it for comic fans these movies probably wouldn't make the millions and billions that they do. I don't even think they'd be made. That's why comics exist.

Warner Brothers doesn't stick to the stories anymore than Marvel Studios or FOX or SONY. From MOS to the recent Batman movies. Nolan just made up a story for his trilogy while taking bits and pieces from the comics. Goyer just made up a completely new Superman for the most part while also mining some ideas and concepts from certain comics.

I don't even know why you brought up DC, they're very behind Marvel no matter which studio you bring up, so they haven't even got to adapting a classic comic story in to a movie.

Also please don't mention that Watchmen movie :x

You bring up any movie and there's clear indicators for why they changed instead of following the comic pg for pg in regards to them selling as well. Might as well ditch the director and writers if you're gonna do that but to stay on point they wouldn't because comic fans are not who these movies are being made for. According to you though the movie can be about anything as long as that Marvel banner shows up.

You wanna talk about a movie that shouldn't have been made? A movie that didn't stick to the comics? That was a Snyder film; all flash no substance. He managed to do that with Watchmen! Trying to cram 12 classic issues in to a 2hr movie was the dumbest thing I sat through. Such a shame, no surprise Moore was pissed.

I mean if you're the Avatar type and just want great visuals and not a good movie I'm sure you saw nothing wrong with it.
