Yea, even back as a youngin I didn't like Batman Returns. It seemed too whimsical compared to the previous movie. And the penguin was such a downgrade compared to Jack's Joker.

You’re underestimating how little people still give AF about that. Women are mocking it now. Id rather drop and recoup some money, than can it completely over some people that probably wasn’t going to go see it anyway. Im not saying its gonna sell out if they release it, but folks are still going to see it. Tbh, besides the alleged grooming a lot of that stuff is petty. Its just being blown out of proportion because he’s a celeb. He had kids in the house with gun…so does 90% of the state of Texas. He got caught drunkenly play fighting with a chick on camera. Ohh public intoxication…He stole some liquor. The money already spent, drop that **** and advertise everything ELSE about the movie. DC probably paid him to put out that “apology” to fan the flames SO they can still release it.

You're underestimating WB/Discovery under this new management doesn't want any of that bad press.
@ "besides grooming" Yeah lets just gloss over the most serious offense to make your point.
But sure they can release it. They're not know for smart decisions and watching this backfire would just be added to the list. The optics on this are terrible. The perceived optics on if they drop this after what they just did would make it worse.
Also y'all seem to not get how the monet part of this works. They spent a lot on this movie. A LOT. There is no "recoup some money". The movie has to make a profit or else they're still taking a huge loss.
The way things are going they'd be extremely lucky to break even.

New management can just blame old management for DC movies being trash. Releasing the Flash would be all in them.

There's no way this movie can be saved. I just don't see how they can go forward with him as the lead of a 200 million dollar blockbuster. A stint in rehab can't garner enough public sympathy for most to look past his behavior.
