DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - The Penguin out 9/19 then every Sunday on MAX

how dope would it have been if instead of the painfully slow murders of bruce's parents that we have all seen before, instead the intro to the character was a watchmen style montage through the ages of young batman fighting crime and slowly turning darker and angrier. it would have been way way more entertaining while providing us with a way better understanding of where this version of batman's mental state is at, especially compared to the no kill bale batman.

Someone needs to flip the script and do a villain's origin story. Netflix's DD was on to something with Wilson Fisk. A story told from both sides.

* Really worth noting: my understanding is that in the original Goyer draft or outline it was revealed that Brainiac was pulling the strings behind Lex, and he was the one who gave Batman visions. The reveal would set up the Justice League to battle Brainiac in Justice League 1, with Darkseid in the wings for Justice League 2. The Chris Terrio production draft dropped all the Brainiac/vision stuff... and then it ended up in the movie anyway, but without much explanation, like scenes were cut and pasted from one script to another without changing the context of any other scene.

the script to a 400 million dollar movie was copy and pasted together like my 8th grade english paper

To be fair though, that article is from Faraci, the most well known DC hater in comic book forums, even Marvel fan acknowledges it iirc

I probably trust him less than Mayimbe.

can someone explain the reason there were so many uses of horses in the movie?

what does a horse symbolise?

there were at least 6 distinct shots where a horse was the primary focus of the frame

either zach just likes the looks of horses, or it's supposed to be some sort of symbolism

or sarah jessica parker is going to play darksied?

Horse symbol meanings date back to prehistory, and the first civilized, written acknowledgement of the Horse comes in the third millennium BC where historians uncovered slate tablets in Elam (present day Iraq and Iran) which reference this noble, wild beast.

Due to its natural companionship with man in both work and art, the Horse easily wins a special seat in history, ranking high marks of honor, reverence and symbolism.

Serving man in war, mobility, productivity, agriculture, development of all kinds, the Horse is by far one of the largest contributor to the enhancement of civilization.

With such recognition and accomplishments, a vast and diverse trail of symbol meanings is sure to follow the horse's rich history with humankind.

see now this is a great theme to put in a superman movie

1. a nobel, wild beast. (uncontrollable force with good intentions)

2. natural companionship with man. (wants to fit in with mankind and be accepted)

3. contributor to the advancement of civilization. (works with mankind to make the world a better place)

that in itself could have been superman's relationship arc with mankind in this movie.

if only they actually addressed these themes

That would explain some things.

DC television > DC Films

Flash > Legends Of Tomorrow > Lucifer > Late Night Infomercials > ION > Public Access > White Noise > Arrow

I can't rock with DC TV. Superhero network TV always comes across as corny/low-budget to me

DC ANIMATION, tho :pimp:
