Also...if the Wizards stay at the #5, I wouldn't mind them drafting Earl Clark. I've been real high on James Harden (and I still am), but Clark really grew on me the more I watched him play this year. He has the potential to be one of the top 2-3 guys taken in this draft class. The only knock on him is his nightly effort. I think if you get Clark on a team w. some good vets, he'll curb some of his bad habits. The dude has the length, and versatility to be a problem on the next level. Here's a guy who could potentially play 3-4 positions on the floor in the NBA in due time. He's gotta bulk up a bit, but his skill-set is flat out ridiculous....

*There seems to be a rumor floating around that has the Wizards offering Jamison + the #5 pick to Phoenix for STAT. If I'm the Wizards (and if there is any truth to this rumor), I make this deal ASAP (assuming they can't pull something off to get Blake Griffin). Phoenix can't be that dumb, can they?
Hey if it can save Sarver some money Phoenix is liable to do anything.

For us to get Tryreke teams above us have to reach for Jennings, Derozan, and Curry

NBA Draftxpress says best case scenario for Clark is Marvin Williams, I think he is more athletic than Marvin.

I was going to say Bobby Simmons as worst case...

Earl Clark has some Lamar Odom in him...versatility to play 3-4 positions, long and athletic, unselfish, good passer, decent jump shot, very good rebounder, questionable effort at times. He just doesn't have the handles that LO has.

Thunder selecting Harden at 3? This means Rubio would most likely be available at 4. Please God....

And Clark is a way better rebounder and athlete.

But DoubleJs did say best case, which means Clark improves that jump shot (good mechanics, just inconsistent).

Is Turk more athletic than EC. I know he has great athleticism for a 6'10 guy but I don't see how he could be more of an athlete than Earl

Maybe I haven't watched Earl play enough

^I think they're just talking about the type of player that he'll become.......... a tall 6'10ish dude that plays and runs like a guard.

Turk is athletic in a sense that he can get to where he wants, but he's not very explosive. Clark on the other hand shows that explosivenessoff the dribble that NBA scouts drool over.

Earl is my guy in this draft

but he could turn out like Billy Owens (and Billy O was THAT DUDE at Syracuse Best all around Game Ive ever seen in College)

wow some of ya is hyping earl clark. he is not THAT nice. he will play up to 4 positions? REALLY?

i mean are we talking about the same earl clark from Louisville? yes he'sgood... but comparing him to HEDO? i cant agree with that at all. he doesn't play like Lamar either. he does not handle the ball like them. i see himplaying the 3 or 4...maybe the 5 if a team decides to go small when he is on the court. but he will be more of a spot up shooter and probably play in the highpost alot. i would compare him to lamarcus aldrige from portland more than to anyone else.

Earl Clark has the bball attitude of Rudy Gay. Like he's so talented and he has that non-chalant thing about him. I like him and think he has loads ofpotential, but I'm still stuck on whether or not he could reach his full potential.

DeMar DeRozan will not be conducting any competitive workouts, his agent Aaron Goodwin tells us. The rumor mill indicated that he was only interested in going up against James Harden, except for in Toronto, where he was slated to face off with Gerald Henderson. Goodwin says that is not the case.

he did put harden on lock down in 3 games this year

"He's five years away from being five years away," one high-level NBA executive told us. "He definitely needs to go back to school," said another.

Larry Brown is reportedly extremely high on Stephen Curry, and may be willing to trade up in order to get him. Apparently he views him as being able to play either guard position, even alongside Charlotte's current group of point guards, Raymond Felton and D.J. Augustin.
why are the bobcats so in love with a small %%! backcourt?

felton might leave this year, which makes dj starting pg if they don't sign anyone.
would be a good move imo.
i think the only reason the wizards want stat is because of his contract. they do have haywood (who is a good center when healthy imo).

On top of it all, Larry Brown says he's high on Curry, but there's no guarantee that LB will be coaching there year after next. Dude is anomad...he won't be around to develop Curry in the first place...I dunno about that pick for Charlotte

Isnt Jamison off the books next year? Him coming off the books, plus a rookie deal has to be much less than what STAT is owed.

James Harden has bust written all over him. I just dont see IT with this guy. 1st Round material definitely, Top 3 material, definitely not.
