They're only men, but do we not go to doctors to diagnose us about sickness we have no knowledge of? You wouldn't go to a vet to ask why you can't sleep at night would you? If you want a true debate and feel so strongly about your beliefs, go debate with someone with years of theology under their belts and let us know how it went.

God knew an infinite amount of ways he could create Adam and Eve and chose to create them such that they disobeyed god and introduced sin into the world. The second possibility is that god is a faulty designer and failed at creating Adam and Eve as perfect beings. If god is a faulty designer then he can't be god. He doesn't have the attribute of omnipotence. So, the biblical god is either incompetent or sadistic.

me, my brother, and two of my cousins have been through depression, suicide attempts, hearing voices, mental institutions, etc. and i am telling you right now MAN THE %!$+ UP. seeing so many friends die from the hands of another man or because of car accidents.....i knew what time it was and knew i wasnt gonna take life for granted like ignorant pricks like you do spending all your time on a SHOE message board bashing a god you say doesnt even exist...

nobody is making anybody kill themselves unless they want to. deal with it.

Um lol.........I never said suicide had anything to do with God. That would make me an absolute moron wouldn't it? I do however blame God for the awful things he did in the bible.-mass murder, rape, infanticide etc. You know creating people with flaws, and then punishing them for said flaws. Sounds like a *$$hole to me

There are mental illnesses people can't "man the f*ck up" out of. if someone comes to you for help would that be your advice? You're looking at mental illness from your perspective. I am in no position to tell anyone to "snap out of it" especially if they have done everything possible to get help


Man comes to me for help with his depression, schizophrenia, suicidal ideation. He has tried counseling, spiritual help, etc and nothing seems to make him better. What's the best response i can come up with?

So i ask you this, not to bash or anything. Again i reiterate questions i asked earlier. So slavery was a godsend to african americans, and a good thing? I mean without slavery african americans wouldnt have been introduced to christianity, thus not living christ-life and wouldnt be able to go to heaven. Also do all infants/kids who die go to hell? They are to young to understand religion, thus cannot give their life to christ. Or are you suggesting that all children who die are a victim of the sins their ancestors/fathers committed? And whats your take on abortion and masterbation? I mean if you do latter of the two wouldnt that make you a murderer?

One would expect people that subscribe to a certain religion to understand the beliefs that they are subscribing to. As if being a religious leader somehow allows you to understand god or the intentions of the authors anymore than anyone else.
