Self Edge x Dry Bones x Superfuture x Styleforum = SEXDBXSXS12

One of the most popular jeans we've carried since we opened was the first collaboration we did with Dry Bones and Superfuture two years ago. We've decided to expand on the theme of a forum based jean with a bigger project including Styleforum and a 22oz denim that Dry Bones have woven for this jean.

The SEXDBXSXS12 jean has been produced by Dry Bones, one of Japan's longest running vintage Americana style denim manufacturers. The jean is made up of a rope-dyed 22oz unsanforized selvedge denim consisting of a combination of Texas & San Joaquin Valley cotton fibers creating a rigid denim that's slightly hairy, but not slubby, because we requested that the denim not be singed and calendered. The indigo dyed yarn has a sulfur top to create a super dark indigo color that crocks fairly easily with normal wear. The jean has heavy-weight hickory striped pocket bags, military grade green rear pocket linings, coin pocket selvedge, cotton poly-core stitch, hidden rivets, and two leather patches. The Superfuture patch was designed by JimmyC of Superfuture and the Styleforum patch was designed by Brian SD, you can easily remove one of the two patches leaving the one you like better. The fit is a slim fit with with a bit of taper and a medium rise, graded to look great in all sizes.

http:///www.superfuture.com/"">Superfuture, a website dedicated to the finer points of shopping, traveling, garments, and more was launched in 1999 by Wayne Berkowitz and Simon Kristoph. Hailing from Australia, their website took on a life of it's own within a few years, and five years in was already home to one of the largest databases of information about garments, and to be more specific, denim.

Superfuture offers the world a frequently updated set of traveling maps, a listing with reviews of over 1000 shops around the world which are "Superfuture Approved", a blog updated with cutting edge events around the world, and a forum called Supertalk which at times overshadows the other services Superfuture offers.

http:///www.styleforum.net/"" target="_blank">Styleforum was founded in 2002 in reaction to the poorly run, corporation-owned, men's style discussion forums of the day. Founder Jeremy Jackson and his partner Fok-Yan Leung, who started posted on the forum as a way to procrastinate from writing his doctoral thesis, see Styleforum as a dive bar populated by guys who also happen to really like clothes, often to the point of obsession. A few discussion rooms have been added to the forum since 2002, discussing anything from travel to food, but these are still guys who want to be wearing the best clothes no matter what they are doing.

This jean is limited to 250 pairs between our three stores, once sold out there will be no restocks.

The SEXDBXSXS12 jean will be released at Self Edge San Francisco, Self Edge New York, and Self Edge Los Angeles at Noon (Local Time) on Saturday, December 4th.

The jeans will also be available online at 10am (PST) the same day in the online store.

NT need your guys help. So I was working on an art project and when I was done I noticed I got some orange paint right above the right knee on my dark jeans. I've tried using hand sanitizer and am waiting on a female to bring some nail-polish remover. Anyone else know of any homemade mom type remedies? Thanks in advance.

Im looking for a nice pair of denim to start out the new year, and am looking for some advice.

I like the fit of 501 STF's and am looking for something similar, but nicer quality. Price range 100-200. I have been looking for a while, and i have found that i'm most interested in the Nudie Big Bengt "dry dirt organic." Online these seem to be the color and fit that i want, but im hoping someone can give me some advice on my first purchase.

Can anyone please direct me to some SELVEGE KHAKIS for $150> ?

I know I saw them on some website but I can't remember anymore

Self Edge x Imperial = SEXI14

Imperial, our sole brand from Australia, comes back with another jean made for lovers of slim cuts. This is a further interpretation of the slim centimeter cut, this time tweaking the silhouette a bit to match up to the 18cm fit. This fit isn't necessarily slimmer than the last collaboration we did with Imperial, it's just a little different in it's shaping.

We've had Imperial produce this collaboration jean in Japan, whereas their regular jeans are made of Japanese fabrics but cut and sewn in Australia. The denim is a 15oz unsanforized selvedge fabric that's a super loose weave available in both indigo and black, both are sure to age very well considering the texture of the denim and the loomstate nature of the fabric. The denim was woven in Okayama and the jean was cut and sewn within minutes of the denim mill.

The denim has a very unique feel to it, it's abrasive at first but definitely not very rigid due to the lack of starch. The belt loops are rolled for sturdiness, the pack pockets are riveted, and the inside pocket bags are screened.

The SEXI14 & SEXI14BK jeans will be released at Self Edge San Francisco, Self Edge New York, and Self Edge Los Angeles at Noon (Local Time) on Saturday, December 11th.

The jeans will also be available online at 10am (PST) the same day in the online store.

We have three very special jeans for you this week...

From Iron Heart we've got theX634sX Flannel Lined Jeans and the DC4001 model and from Strike Gold the SG1103EX heavyweight jean. Also in is Iron Heart's 2010 version of their Heavyweight Winter Flannel and a restock of the Melton Wool Overshirt.

The X634sX jean is a flannel lined water resistant jean. We've taken Iron Heart's flagship product, the 634s straight leg selvedge jean, and given it the cold weather treatment.

We took their 21oz indigo selvedge denim and lined the entire jean with a heavy weight triple brushed black/gray flannel, but we didn't stop there. The jean is then completely coated in paraffin for repelling water. The jean has to be rinsed twice at the factory after the coating process so the entire thing is extremely comfortable and there is no break-in period whatsoever.

The warmest and driest pair of jeans you'll ever own.

We initially made these with cyclists and motorcyclists in mind, but once news of these leaked we had an overwhelming response from customers wanting to use them during snow sports. Whether you're just outside in colder weather or actually tearing through roads on your motorcycle during the winter months, these will be the most versatile pair of jeans you'll ever own.

The new DC4001 jean is a straight leg jean (a slightly slimmed down top block 634s) that is a collaboration Iron Heart has done with one of our very close friends that owns a great store in Berlin by the name of DC4. Both IH and DC4 have done a great job on this jean and we're honored to be carrying it at all Self Edge stores.

Strike Gold comes through with a new 24oz unsanforized jean with a straight leg fit with a great cut for all body types with a medium rise and a classic fit. This jean is made of a heavy weight denim with a gold spark selvedge id that comes completely loomstate so it's sure to age really well with a high-contrast fade. The jean has a burly feel to it at first due to the rigid denim that comes in it's loomstate form, after a warm water soak the denim opens up a bit and begins to soften with wear.

All three of these jeans and the Iron Heart shirts are available now and are made in limited numbers not to be restocked. Check our online store for specification lists, hi-res photos, and measurements.
