Discussion for my mature NT'ers: Do you open car door's for women?

It's such an easy task that requires minimal effort. But it goes a long way in the mind of a woman. The gesture speaks louder than words and it'll definitely pay off in the end.

BUT...as it's been mentioned, it's different now...I guess. I'm almost 31, and have been doin it as long as I can remember. For the 25 & under crowd, seems like things have changed, which is a shame if you've got old-school habits

I used to when I was a teenager but now for some reason I don't really do it that much anymore

I usually open a car door for a woman. It's not to show her how much of a gentleman I am either it's just how I am. The last girl I dated would get confused and tell me not to do it in a "but I really like it when you do" type of way when I would because no one ever had before. It would actually turn her on. I don't do it when they get out of the car though.

i appreciate it 100% but sometimes i feel ridiculous saying it 1000 times a day every day...

anex got mad cuz i said it so much & i was tired of saying it but ididn't want it to come off like i expected it or wasn't grateful

noone ever opens my car door for me...only time i see that is with oldercouples who have probably been together 30+ years & its always socute

I don't need thank you's after the first few times. I'll already know it's appreciated by then and it's not something that's completely out of my way to do.

Cameron: So I guess it is a maybe when getting into the car, Ive never done it but wont say I never will. I do have a question for you, do you wait in the car upon arrival for the guy to go around the car and open the door for you (I know you may because you are married and maybe have been doing this all your life) but do you think girls should wait in the car expecting the guy to open the door?

I personally feel like I would never even think to open the door, probably just look at her like what is she doing...

I'm actually suprised to see so many people that say that they don't do it...
How condescending. What makes this right?
 Delusion...

Are ya'll tryin to prove somethin by NOT doing it? I mean,
seriously....do ya'll think ya'll will be labeled as a "simp" or some BS
by being courteous?

Whatever happened to men just being gentleman?
I don't
do it because I think females want to be treated as males. I don't open
car doors for males so I won't for females. The only car door I open is
for my mom. She deserves it. If it some random broad she probably thinks
she deserves that type of treatment JUST because she is a woman. That's
not going to fly in my book.

Question:Has a female that drove opened a car door for you to be chivalrous?

Women want to be treated as males!? And I'm the delusional one??

Maybe in their professional lives, yes. In the personal, respect and chivalry goes a long way.

My grandfather had a HUGE part in raising me, so a lot of my core values are pretty old school, if you will.

Opening doors, being on time, pull out a female's chair if it's just two of us eating together, walking a female to her door.  He taught me to just be courteous and cordial in general.

It's just the way I was raised, I don't really think twice about it.

So women don't want the same treatment that men give males? They want the positives of being a woman but not the negatives? Ok.
What are you acknowledging by doing this action?
If a you drive a dude do you open his door for him?
